You know how there is a "view all posts by this member" thingy in the profile? You could do "view all money earning posts" aswell... would encourage people not to make stupid posts that get them money, because people can check up on it.

I really like the "test it in the Games Forum" idea. That would make it less prestigious to start, and would therefore reduce the amount of postwhoring that would result if it was expanded to the rest of the forum.

I suggest being able to buy or win random, stupid things that would inevitably relate to inside jokes or similar relations to forum-goers (toaster oven, a green marble, etc.) Then, under "Posts:" have an "Item:" line. You would be able to set one item you have at a time there.

I think this would be fairly harmless in the games forum, and would spark interest in the whole forum. If it went smoothly, it could be expanded to the whole forum (or intentionaly left exclusive to "games".) I say try it there.

Hopefully if all goes well, we shoulden't need to start off in just one forum because we'll hopefully have the postwhoring issues worked out, though I think we'll still need to start small anyway.

I think that starting in the games forum would allow us to see it in action before all the details are worked out.

Once you reach a solid enough conclusion on how to do it, post a formal request with the methods and reasons, and hopefully we'll see it work!

Well if they do go crazy over the game then they are just crazy in the first place cuz its not like they are going to win something outta it its just a game..
