"Steve" -May 25 2004-

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

I thought the panel was fine. If you don't like anime, there's an occasional reference you won't get in the comic anyway. Deal with it. :)

"Our garage seems to be inhabited by a six-foot tall man-eating monster named Phil"

We got all kinds of sentence construction issues here. That is, is the monster itself six foot tall, or does it only eat men that are six feet high? Is Greg short enough to be spared? Would it eat Liz?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Do an Evangelion-esque week just to piss them off, Greg. That would serve two purposes: A, being freakin hilarious, and 2: piss off the anime haters (or the anime-style haters, or the Greg-Drawing-Anime-Style-Haters)

No, it's six feet tall, and is man-eating. If it ate six-foot-tall men, it would be written "six-foot-tall-man-eating" and not "Six-foot-tall man-eating". Those are two seperate adjectives.

And, btw, I loved the third panel expression :)

I don't really have a garage monster, cause we don't have a garage. But we do have a spare room full of junk called "the middle room" and i'm comvinced the monster in there is eatting all my spare computer parts and mega drive games :?

Not being an anime fan, I'm afraid I don't get the referance.

I scanned through this thread and didn't catch an explination. Could someone clue me in? The comic Greg appears to have sprouted a mustache in frame 3 and grown tired rather than being excited by a man eating monster. then in frame four he apparently shaved his mustache on the way to see Liz.

Help!

Note the red. It's the equivalent of going bug-eyed.
