You can do it Liz!

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Bread is an important part of my 4-food-group snack, the bacon sandwich.

Fat and protein from the bacon and the fat it's fried in, carbs from the bread, and calcium and fats from the butter.

Meh. Weight loss. I'm glad I never had to worry about it much. 5'9" 200lbs. And I don't look overweight. Maybe it's the fact that my legs can push 400+ lbs.... Maybe not. My gamer metabolisim keeps me lookin good on my diet of corn chips and Pepsi. And when I run out of that, I usually don't eat until the next time we go shopping (days). >.> <.<

Good luck liz. Amazingly, your body looks a lot like my girlfriend's. If your face did, I would almost think you were attractive. At least Greg doesn't base his dates on who is the hottest. He seems like one of the few men who knows that sex is just as good when you know how hot the person was...

I'm a nutritionist and I've seens all kinds of ppl trying to lose weight. If Liz find weight watchers (It's rates America's No.1 right now) good for her then that's great. Diff ppl have diff ways of losing excess weight. It all depends on their environment, jobs, metabolism and life in general.

Of course, there is always the need for lots of drinking water. That's very important.

You go, Liz! You're gorgeous as you are but it's all about being healthier and feeling good/confident yourself. Ppl still love you

Yeah, I was kidding about the smoking part.

I would, of course, never recommend that.
Of course, in California, it might help. What do you mean there's no smoking sections in your restaurant! That's it Gregg, we're eating at home!

But goo dluck, regardless. I had a girlfriend in Highschool who lost 80 pounds on Weight Watchers. Or was it Jenny Craig. I can't remember, but whatever. Good luck to you. It's going to be fun!

Discipline and regimentaiton!
My sig would have contained the secret of life, but I'd already clicked submit.

You don't NEED to have a huge breakfast and a huge lunch and a huge dinner.
Yes I do! If I don't eat huge amounts of food, I simply crash.[/quote]

I start running next week, so i might post an update...

I'd like to recommend to you a series of books by Phil D'Adamo, the 4 Your Type series. Read the first book first, Eat Right 4 Your Type. This is a diet (in the 'what you eat' sense, not the 'lose weight quick' sense) book based on your blood type. Among many other things, it explains why the Atkins diet and other low carb diets work well for some people but not others, and will really help you lose (or gain, if you wished) weight. It's not a fad diet, it's more of a healthy way of eating. I've talked about it in #reallife a couple times. My fiance (soon to be wife, we set the date for July 22) started going by his books a year or so ago, and during the 6 months she was on it went from a size 20 jeans to size 12.

You can tell from his books he's done a lot of serious research into what he says, and it makes sense. I highly recommend looking into it, especially if you're looking to permanently keep the weight off (I'm thinking this is a fair assumption :) ). And Greg, I apologize in advance for the healthy diet she's going to put you on if she reads those books.

you can do it Liz!

I've also started a diet with my (now) wife trying to lose about 25 pounds or so myself.

My wife is trying to lose about 35 pounds.

--- personal workout story ---
I purchased a bowflex a few years ago, was at 220 when I first got it, lost 20 pounds really easily. I pretty much froze at that weight for a few years (due to not exercising and eating poorly).

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, decided to go on a diet after reading up the testimonials on the Bowflex website, and try the weight loss plan suggested that I recieved when I first got the bowflex.

Limit your calorie intake to around 1500 calories and drink lots of water. Workout 3 times a week (no more, no less) . I really didn't think I could hold up to that, but I'm trying. So I purchased a Weight Watchers Cookbook and trying different recipies out of there.

First week's results
----
Myself: 3 pounds lost - 2 pounds of fat lost - dropped 1% of body fat.
Wife: No change in weight - 3 pounds of fat lost - dropped 2% of body fat.

Weight before: 198 - 5'10"
Wife's weight before: *censored* - 5'0"

We'll see how it goes from here

Keep up the good work Liz!

I don't drink soda and my two sweet drinks are Orange Juice and Milk. ;) I do tons of walking so my legs are fairly toned, it's just the rest of me that's not so hot. ;) Ah well, back to those curlups. :P

P.E. made me lose 5 pounds naturally be running and playing sports. I didn't restrict myself from anyhting except soda and peanutbutter. Now I plan to go from 180 to 170. 170 should be my healthy weight.

I don't eat bacon, or hamburgers, or pizza, or hotdogs, or any type of meat. I'm not a meat-eater and I'm not a vegetarian either. So what the hell am I?
