Psychiatrist help needed. (6/14/04)

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Did this happen to you on Saturday, Greg? The Black Hole comic is more believable than this...then again, it's crazy country up there in Sacromento(Being that close to Berkley can't help with your sanity..)

Greg you really need a bigger withdrawl limit than $300. I work in reatail and I sure as hell wouldn't take a cheque over $100 unless it was guaranteed. (We have a cheque garantee service "tele-cheque".) Even then we have to get drivers licence details etc. Frankly I'm surprised we still accept them at work at all for normal sales. They are a pain in the arse (A sale that can be completed with cash in 30 seconds can often take ten minutes (or longer if there's a problem) to complete when the customer is paying by cheque.) and they -thankfully- seem to be going the way of the dinosaur anyway. I would NEVER get a cheque-book. You should ditch yours.

I kinda got rid of mine, Debit cards are the way to go yo!

But yeah...People need to quit being whiners about checks, nick's petpeeve #9.

Actually, this one is pretty believable... I had a similar thing happen to me when I tried to buy a 27" TV at a rummage sale a while back- the dude wouldn't take a check for the $50 he was asking for it. It was so screwed up; I live in the same town, my bank is right here in town, and my address is on the check so if it bounces you can send Rocko & Guido over to rough me up and take the TV back. What gives?

That the annoying thing... It did happen. And because they were being asinine, I had to go get 300 on saturday, and 100 on sunday, THEN i could pick up the couch set. (The only reason I went through the trouble is that the couch set is, for all intents and purposes, brand new, and would go new for around $1500-2000. So it was a good, GOOD deal, and our current couch was ratty as all hell)

It just seems to me, if you're going to sell something, sell it at a price people can buy it at, and if you want more, you're going to have to take a check. Or a debit card, but doubtful joebob nobody would have a debit card machine. :D

Hehe, comic got a good chuckle from me.
You know we'll all be checking for continuity next time your couch is shown :)

What bank do you have? I work in Rancho and my bank is open on Saturdays and Sundays. I know Golden One, Washington Mutual, and Wells Fargo are open on Saturdays.

No haggling?

C'mon Greg, that's what a yard sale is all about! I bet you could've gotten 'em down to 300 and then withdrawn it from your bank. Same day. Then you could've used the other 100 to buy cheap hookers or somethign.

$300 withdrawal limit? Geez... I still have my childhood "getting there" account (it's valid until I turn 19 six months from now) and it doesn't have a limit at all! I've taken out like $600 at a time from it... and this is an account I've had since I was like 6 and which hasn't changed. :?

That's why you steal the couch. Just sit down, now who's couch is it? Then laugh at him. Laugh, laugh, laugh.

Love to chat more, but I need to visit my psychiatrist again.

Can't you just go into your bank and INCREASE your daily limit? I got my limit taken off all-together with a single email.

Just to mention something for the sole purpose of pissing people off, Shoudn't Greg and Tony have hundreds of thousands of dollars form their time travel trip? So, in theroy, $400 isn't worth bitching about.

Its not the money thats the complaint
its the fact that he makes him leave then come back later just to get it simply because he wont accept a cheque
