There was one thing that ruined Halo for me....Control Pad.

I can not say this enough: FPS = Mouse and Keyboard

Anyway my LONG list of games...

Manic Miner - Spectrum
Tetris - Gameboy
Columns - Game Gear
Sonic The Hedgehog - Mega Drive (Genisis for the people in the US)
Kid Chamelion - Mega Drive (I will stop there with the MD games as I could probably fill this board with nothing but)
Secret of Mana - SNES
Populous - Amiga
Monkey Island - Amiga (You fight like a dairy farmer - How appropriate, you fight lika a cow)
Soulcaliber - Dreamcast
Final Fantasy 7 and 8 - PlayStation
Final Fantasy 10 - Playstation
Civilisation 2 - PC
Deus Ex - PC (If you want to play a Deus Ex game, play this not the crappy IW)
Battlefield 1942 - PC
Planetside - PC

I could have made this a LOT longer but I thought it best if I don't

Mmmm... control pad. Though the Xbox isn't my favorite system, I have never played with a controller that's as comfortable and playable as the Controller S. And if you don't like controllers, you can always get Halo for PC or Mac. :P

I have a PC, and I have Halo for it. By the time it arrived on the PC, however, it was superceded by so many other games and looked so dated :(

And the Playstation 2 pad is and will be for the foreseable future, the most comfortable pad around. (Yes I have tried both varients of the x-box pad)

I would say "But Spider man 2 is a game from a movie, so it must suck" but from what I heard Cronicals or Riddick was a big exception, so maybe Spiderman 2 will be too...

So is it any good?

Spiderman 2 looks cool, but there are a lot of other games I'd rather play this summer.

F Sake, do you really think the PS2 pad is the most comfortable? I'll admit it's good for some types of games, but I find it very awkward. The four face buttons are too far apart, and I have to put my thumbs in a wierd position just to reach the analog sticks. Plus the grips are too small.

PS2 pads are great! It has just enough controls for any console game. Plus, a pad on which you can actually mash all the buttons at once without holding it in some super-perverted manner is a good pad. Maybe your hands are too small.
I need fewer water.

The Xbox controller S has always seemed to me like a reimagined, improved dual shock. It's got the same nice diamond button layout, but the buttons feel nicer and I like the placement better. The grips are actually big enough to hold, and the left stick is higher than the D-pad, which is good because most people use the stick more often. And even for fighters or other games that benefit from the D-pad, it's easy to reach and more playable than the PS2's icky four-separate-buttons D-pad. Some people like the Dual Shock more because of the four shoulder buttons, but think about it; how many games really need all four of those buttons? Sure there are some, but in most of those cases, the Xbox's black and white buttons would work just as well. They're fine for any function that is infrequently used.

And you can mash all the buttons at once on the Controller S, except for the black and white buttons. But it's kind of irrelevant, because you'll never really need to do that.

The gamecube's pad is nice too. Sure the button layout is kinda wierd, but it's fine unless you're playing a fighting game. And even then, it's ok once you get used to it. The d-pad is small and awkward, but once again: only an issue if you're playing a fighting game. And I don't know too many people who play fighting games on the gamecube. :P The only really annoying thing about the controller is the L and R buttons. Triggers would have worked much better than those huge things.... Nevertheless, I find it the most comfortable of the three.

The thing I can't stand about DC, Xbox, and GC controllers is the long trigger pull on the L and R buttons. It's a hell of a lot easier to rapidly tap on the Dual Shock 2.

they make them like that so they can be more touch sensitive.

Want mario to hover instead of flying? ease off on the button... etc etc

I think its great.
So :bleh: :P
