Well, I like Cyberliger777 and Blackjack for mentioning Zelda. Well done. (But it took three pages to get there! :()

I know I'm going to have some repeats in here, but bear with me :)

Zelda: anything at all ever (except for those CDs, but we don't talk about that)
Silent Hill (1, 2, not really 3, and I'm just getting giddy waiting for 4)
Fatal Frame (both 1 and 2)
Metroid: Anything At All Ever
Disgaea
Beyond Good and Evil
Perfect Dark
Conker's Bad Fur Day
PowerStone (2 was the best, I think)
Soul Calibur (both 1 and 2)
Virtua Fighter
SSX Tricky
Ninja Gaiden (anything... at all... ever)

... I'm pretty sure that's it. If I think of more, I'll come back.

Oh, and all of you should go reserve a copy of Resident Evil 4. That game is going to be so good. So good!

Seconded

Also, the Ninja Gaiden trilogy on the NES is the only game of its era with a coherent plot that I know of.

You never played Willow for NES, then. It is the only movie based game I have ever liked. It is a seriously great game.

I guess I just like the fact that you can perform tricks which are so beyond human possibility that physicists are still baffled.

Pirates! - Man o man I spent many hours on this game staring at my cga monitor. This is a fantastic game, and Sid kicks ass

Master of Orion 2 - great turn based strategy that allowed for either micro management or just sticking to administration. I still fire it up now and then and sink in some more hours

Tribes 2 - I never playerd the original Tribes which many people swear by, but anyhow this game is my favorite FPS ever. Teamwork is critical and it is facilitated by over a hundred voice commands that could be given with just a few keystrokes. There was no reading to distract you when you find out that someone needs an escort bringing the flag back, or if they need a tailgunner for a bomber. Prerecorded voices sounded off the commands and saves the costs and bandwidth involved with roger wilco yet still had close to the same effectiveness. I think you can even get this for free now, if not it'll be in the bargain bin, an excellent $5 spent.

The Adventures of Rad Gravity - a great game for the NES that never got much notice. I got this for Christmas one year and I wasn't too impressed with it when I unwrapped it. After I popped it in and started playing it turned out to be a fantastic little game.

Bomberman World - for the ps1 this is the Best. Multitap. Use. Ever. 5 people, no split screen, simple controls, and lots of fun. Many a night was spent with my buddies blowing each other up.
Crazy with a capital psycho.

Kuronekosama, I totally agree with you. Moo2 (master of orion 2) is THE beast turn based game. I fire it up every once and a while and its still fun even today.

Did anybody get to play a GBA game called Boktai?

It was pretty cool, you had to play in the sunlight for boss battles and to charge your gun. The gimmick never really gets in the way of what is an A+ title. You can get it for 15 bucks now.

I enjoyed Civ2, Moo, and Colonisation more.
