me too! I'm reading another short story book, this one's franz kafka. but i'm also in the middle of elegant universe, anna karenna, a history of anarcho-cyndicalism, and probably about 8 others.

it's awesome to have a short attention span.
Yeah. I'm currently reading: another Kate Bornstein radical gender theory book, a huge anthology of articles on magic and the occult, Holy Blood, Holy Grail, Aliester Crowley's Book of Lies, a Philip K. Dick novel, and a Robert Anton Wilson novel. Not to mention the things I started to read a long time ago and left off somewhere and haven't gotten back to yet.

Attack of the Seawolf by Micheal DiMercurio

I usually don't read much military novels, usually it's just go in and blow the crud out of something. I usually read hard sci-fi, Isaac Asimov, Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, Greg Bear, etc.
The Adventures of Hamster Man

Hamlet by William Shakespeare. If you want an actual book, it was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Hamlet was a nice story, but that Olde Englais sure is annoying. Next up: local hero James Agee's A Death in the Family. Summer reading is teh bad.

Dune: The Butlerian Crusade
To conquer without the shed of blood is a sign of greatness.

Have no mercy on your enemies, as they will crush you like you intended to crush them.

War is inevitable; it can only be avoided and delayed to the benefit of your enemies.

I'm currently re-reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan!
as of yet I'm about halfway through The Shadow Rising (book # 4) for about the fifth or sixth time :P
In case you haven't heard of it, its EPIC, EPIC fantasy with everything you ever need. People may call me a heathen, but J.R.R. Tolkien has absolutely NOTHING on Robert Jordan. The world he has created has so much depth to it, its so incredibly believable & cool & emotional & varied and, well its the best series EVER (and its not even finished!)
Currently there are ten books in the series (he says there will be 12/13) and one prequel (of three).
DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT, READ THE PREQUEL FIRST!!! (<-like forums, it's not newbie friendly)
start with the "Eye of the World" and go from there.
just so you know, the 6th book has a change of pace, there's more politics involved in it in the middle, but read on, do not be discouraged (its still very interesting as it sets up the rest of the series)
If you do read these you'll understand what I mean
Also (so you know what I mean by epic) each book tends to be about 1000 pages or so, so thats about a book a week.
NOW GO FORTH AND BUY/BORROW/(don't steal) THE SERIES!!!

How about start with "Eye of the World" and end with "The Dragon Reborn?" After that, it starts going downhill.

As of right now, I'm reading 'Salem's Lot by Stephen King.
Dune: The Butlerian Crusade
What you meant to say was "Poorly Written and Conceptualized Tripe Masquerading as a Dune Book" right? :P

Last book I (re-)read was Heretics of Dune. I'm now re-reading Chapterhouse: Dune. Heretics and Chapterhouse are without a doubt my favourite of the Dune series. On recommendation I'm thinking of starting either the Ender series (not sure what it's actually called) or the Illuminatus! Trilogy. *shrugs*

Funny enough, I stopped at 6. Maybe I'll just read 10 and get some cliff's notes for the rest if 10 is that crazy.

Actually, almost everyone I know who reads Jordan gets really bored with the series somewhere around the middle.
