Your psychic mind-reading-over-the-internet powers surely are amazing, Deacon. Can you teach me how to tell what someone's thinking even when they seem to not kn - ... oh, wait, you're just an asshole.
"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."
"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."
Assuming I'm right in thinking they're the left to his right (or is it: right to his left, I can never remember
) that's about what I think.
You've got Moore on one side, O'Reilly et al on the other. The truth lies somewhere in between and it's up to you to make up your own damn mind rather than steal someone else's opinions.
And with BtEO's words of wisdom, hopefully you'll all shut up.
I found the 9/11 documentary quite amusing though....
Some area's the bush bashing was great. However, it's not fair to pick on him because the Bin Ladens had business relations with them. They have business relations with the world, they deal in oil. Bush's are an oil family. I'd find it odd if they DIDN'T have some sort of relation.
"Do you have any terrorist targets?"
"Not that I know of.... Wait, we do have a Walmart"

You realize by and large that we're not talking about Michael Moore and the (lack of) truth in his works, right? And with BtEO's words of wisdom, hopefully you'll all shut up.

Yeah, its more like comparing Moore to Limbaugh.

*laughs* Now that'd be just perfect. A ridiculous, unscrupulous hypocrite spoofing a whole bunch of ridiculous, unscrupulous hypocrites.I just read the whole arminius/azurian/haggy debate in PACE.
I think Michael Moore should come spoof quebec separatists.
Yes, I, too, dislike Moore, for (quelle surprise) much the same reasons that Fuggle does. There are some very disturbing facts in this situation, some suspicious behaviors on the part of the administration, and some blatant stupidities/tyrranies. Moore even touched on a few of them in his film. However, he also missed as many as he pointed out, and behaved so inconsistently and underhandedly that rather than giving credibility to some of his very valid questions/assertions (some were valid, some were not), he severely damaged the ability of others to ask the same questions in a serious forum.
Basically, he makes the intelligent and rational of those of us on the left look bad, so he should be shot. Or dismembered. Or something. *mutters*
However, I should note that regardless of your opinions about Moore or his methods, it's irrational to dismiss everything in his film simply because he's an unreliable source. I mean, some of the 'anti-Moore' articles and sites I've seen have behaved at least as reprehensibly as Moore himself. Blind support of the 'right' is just as irrational as blind support by some in the 'left' of idiots like Moore. I mean, hell, has anyone here read some of the complete and utter nonsensical bullshit that Rush Limbaugh likes to spew? I'll admit that Moore's a complete ass, now it's your turn to admit that there are people who are just as bad on the Right, but who just tend to receive a little less attention. *shrugs*
And Pyro, the attack had to be in Isreael. The President of the United States would NEVER call on everyone to stop the "terrorist killers" of Israel from attacking Palestinians.
The attack wasn't about Israel neither. Bush was refering to "every countries/nations". Like you said, it couldn't be Israel. And Palestinians suicidals are only local. Bush spoke of Al Qaeda.

Nah, it wouldn't be enough lucrative for Moore

Hmm Azurain, if you want to pursue our little discussion on that subject, we can do it in the PACE section. And we should really stop to call each other "hypocrite".

The problem that I have is with all the lame brains who accept Moore's conclusions without a second thought, anyone that stupid should have thier mental prowess called into question. And just to cover bases, the same goes for the people who unquestionally believe in O'Reilly and that stupid psycho, Coulter

What's this about "unquestionally believe in O'Reilly"? Maybe I'm just not up on the goings on, but last time I checked, he just had a show on a cable news channel where he interviews people...

Why would you object to him saying it nearly a year after the 9/11 attacks and when asked about something completely unrelated?

On August 4, 2002, Mike Allen of the Washington Post wrote:Just over four hours before, as Bush slept at his parents' seaside retreat, a Palestinian suicide bomber blew up a bus in Israel, killing nine passengers.
Bush, wearing khakis and a knit shirt, was holding a driver in his gloved left hand. The rest of his foursome, including his father, former president George H.W. Bush, was waiting. However incongruous the setting, the president plunged ahead. "There are a few killers who want to stop the peace process that we have started, and we must not let them," he said. "I call upon all nations to do everything they can to stop these terrorist killers."
His business out of the way, Bush barely paused for breath before saying, "Thank you. Now watch this drive."
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.
