Because we all know Saddam has ties to the terrorist organization responsible and a hand in the attack on the towers, as well as being the home to several of the hijackers. I mean, its not like Iraq's a nice harmless and friendly country like Saudi Arabia. The what? And out of curiosity, how do you define hasty? If you're suggesting that the liberation of Iraq was a hasty reaction to the events of September 11, 2001, perhaps you should remember that shots weren't fired in Iraq until about a year and a half later.
(Oh, and Aizawa, since the stuffing has already begun, want to start taking bets on how long until a certain poster stops addressing points and posts some sort of comic or brushes it off with a 'witty' reply to something and exits that sub-thread?)
"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."
"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."

StruckingFuggle, I assume you're trying to take a stab at me, in which case I'll ask you to kindly fuck off, as I am under no obligation to reply in full to every single point you ever attempt to make, no matter how inane or generally not worth a reply.
As far your quote, I'm not sure exactly what it is that you're trying to say or prove, unless irrelevance is really what you're going for. I gave a guess at the only thing I could figure out AT was parroting a "hasty actions taken in anger... and in defense of The Holy American Empire!" type line, noting that the only haste was in the scramble to find some effective line of rhetoric that could be loud enough to drown out the voices of reason in favor of vitriol.
And while you're handing out condescention, Fuggle, why not dole a little out to our new little parrot who posts shit that sounds like a middle schooler tying to sound cool like "That's sad... really sad... You've become so accustomed to the stuffing that you don't even realize it anymore." instead of answering a simple question. Or is that EXACTLY what you meant by "a certain poster stops addressing points and posts some sort of comic or brushes it off with a 'witty' reply to something and exits that sub-thread?"

Lorien, when you're through trying to be a big, tough, internet bitch, take a second and reflect on the fact that many discussions surround topics that rely more on concepts like "ideals" and "ethics" and such that are not quite so easily defined. And in threads where such definition exists, it takes exponentially more time and effort to unravel the big ball of spun yarns than it does to tangle it all up--and it's often not worth the bother, as chances are very slim that they'll say "Oh," learn, and move on. Look at the discussion about right to bear arms. When presented with hard numbers, they're brushed aside as a meaningless correlation that's probably all lies anyway, because they can't accept that what they've had fed to them by TV all their life might not necessarily be correct and that maybe the Hollywood elite aren't quite as all-knowing and "in touch with the common man" as they believe themselves to be.
And in this thread, we have AizawaTakako making absolutely no sense, making no effort whatsoever to explain wtf he's talking about when he refers to people stuffing words in his mouth, and you have sarcastic assholes like Fuggle choosing to keep his view as short-term as possible so as to find excuses to malign the current president, regardless of the possible cost.
I'd love to be a kid again and have summers off and such, but as it is, I spend enough time on these forums instead of trying to make money, and I certainly don't have the time (even if I cared enough) to present thesis research projects that are brushed off with ad hominem, straw men, and red harring attacks.

Well then why arent you off posting mindless polls and fucking off elsewhere, letting the people have a normal debate/discussion and not screwing it up by posting pointless threadkillers and shitty comebacks.
If you think that pulling crap like calling me a big tough internet bitch is going to have me up in arms.. you have issues kid.
Getting back on topic Michael Moore once upon a time had a point and an argument.. now he makes books.. movies and money, Like the good little americans he claims to hate so much.

Shitty comebacks? Threadkillers? I'm sure such things are obvious to you, but perhaps you'd like to point them out. As to why I'm not, I'm plagued by this hideous character flaw called "caring". It's difficult for me to learn to not give a shit about ignorance and regurgitated vitriol.

I don't want to have you up in arms. I want you to check yourself, "kid".If you think that pulling crap like calling me a big tough internet bitch is going to have me up in arms.. you have issues kid.
Many people have pointed out the irony in that. You have a valid point.Getting back on topic Michael Moore once upon a time had a point and an argument.. now he makes books.. movies and money, Like the good little americans he claims to hate so much.

Well, then it's a luck you're not letting this whole forums thing get to you, causing you to waste your precious time posting long rants about the injustices of Internet, isn't it?

Re: Micheal Moore
My sincerest apologies for not making my previous posts more clear Deac, I had no idea you didn't know "WTF" I was talking about.
Here, I'll try and reword it in hopes you might be able to comprehend what I'm saying.
I’m George W. Bush and I approve this message.
I pledge allegiance to the flag!!!!!!
of the Holy American Empire!!!!!
and to the Theocracy for which it stands:
one Empire under ALMIIIGHTY GOD!!! Indivisible!!!
With Liberty and Justice for all!!! Except gays, niggers, and shrimp!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!11!!1!!1!!ONEONEONE
That said, I'll be glad that by next year we'll be a republic again. It ain't exactly democracy, but it's a helluva lot closer than what we have right now.

When a plane crashes into a building and kills a few Americans, it's a horrifying tragedy, but when an American bomb "accidentally" levels an overcrowded hospital, it's only collateral damage, eh?
[/quote]
Dont go putting words in my mouth. I made no such claim. The major difference between the two though, is that the plane crashing into the building was an intentional act. The bomb leveling the hospital, while also a horrific tragedy, is not intentional in its own right.

Why should we care what he slept on on the night of Sept 10, 2001? It is a non-issue, like almost everything else that Moore brings up..FAHRENHEIT 9/11: On Sept. 10, 2001 , Bush joined his brother in Florida where he slept the night in “a bed made of fine French linens.”
