Maybe someone needs a dictionary for Christmas. Maybe it's me.
I'm pretty sure it isn't. Not this time anyway....

I did it one time and I liked it
So I did it two times, got addicted
Had to do it three times, couldn't help it
And the number four time was the best

Oops. I'd meant Rantettes & Ravettes.

Drivers who complain about me cycling slowly up hills. (THEY should fucking try getting up that hill under their own power. 200 yards, 45 degree angle.)
Pet peeve of mine: Cyclists who go slow on the road and slow down traffic instead of getting off the road when cars come by. If there's nowhere to bike without being in the road so I need to worry about hitting you staying between the lines, get off the fucking road! It's an automobile road, I'm sorry!

De acuerdo, Fuggle. If you can't maintain a safe speed, you shouldn't be on the road. That's why they don't allow farm equipment on the freeway.

It's a friggen' dead-end road. And they'd have room to pass if people weren't parked all down one side.
The side of the road is all different slopes, not one constant one.

What scares me? Mobile phones, bad driving, and brake lights.

I changed the thread name to satisfy all your picky demands. Nice to know how nice people can be on here. (Please no speeches on how you are more important than me, I don't want to hear it) I note how certain individuals LOVE to flame anyone else on ANY possible mistake they happen to make in any particular post. Get over it and respond. That's what forums are for.. not to make everyone else look inferior to your seemingly towering intellect. (You know who you are)

By the way, Angie, if you are going to tell me that I suck and that I can't spell worth shit, then spell my name correctly. Thanks.

I think Angie may have just been owned...

Anyhow, my major pet peeve can be summed up in two words.

FAIRNESS
and
TOLERANCE.

I mean, fairness is something little kids use. In real life, fair is just an abstract ideal. I was listening to a "reinstatement" of an older attendance policy for a company I'm temping at, and the head boss man there kept talking about fairness. I don't mind most of the policy, even if it is oddly draconian in some places, but that constant talk about fairness...

And tolerance. Come on, what dimwit first came up with the idea that tolerance means accepting others opinions while lying on your back? True, it means accepting opinions differing with yours, but it DOES NOT mean agreeing with them, or even not arguing them! I get sick of being called intolerant because I believe that Christianity is the only way. That has nothing to do with tolerance. I am tolerant because I believe that people ALSO have a right to choose what they believe. Thus, while I may not agree with, and may even argue with instead, I would treat any Muslim, Hindu, etc, with respect.

OK, that's good enough for now.

Also tolerance means putting up with people. That's why I don't understand how one can be "intolerant" of people based on ethnicity. They're not doing anything at all but having different genes, so what's to tolerate? Tolerance makes sense with beliefs, but not with heredity.

People who constantly try to start a conversation with you when you really don't feel like having a conversation. Then they pick inane subjects to talk about.

People that try to act like a second mother: "You know, eating alot of sugar is bad for you, you really should eat healthier." -- Yes. I know. You've been telling me this for awhile now. Maybe I should, but I'm not so deal with it. (Note: I've never said that to this person, I just politely shrug it off...but it still gets on my nerves)

Cyclists(bicycles) must obey all street laws including driving on the street unless otherwise designated(i.e. cycle path or specified lane). This means cyclists have to ride their bikes on the street and not on the sidewalk. The sidewalk is for pedestrians only. At least that is the way it is in Texas.

I swear to god I am surrounded by stupid!
