Dungeons.
And.
Dragons.
And.
Dragons.
"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."
"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."

I know, I was listing another example for you.

Seconded. I was sitting here reading the posts and wracking my brain as to what the absolute worst movie I've ever seen was, as opposed to just really bad movies that don't merit such attention. I'd actually decided that it was impossible to qualify any single movie as the 'worst' ... and then I read this post and all the horror and misery and anguish that was Dungeons and Dragons came flooding back.
/me feels dirty.
I need to go watch a LOTR movie to cleanse myself...

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

How about C.H.U.D. I couldn't stop laughing!
For a B movie it was so-so, but when the only thing remotely creepy about a horror movie is the cover you know something is wrong.

That's it...

Once upon a time, I was driving around with a friend and as we drove by a movie theater, he saw the title "Three Ninjas" and told me he'd heard it was good. I proceeded to give him hell for about 8 years for dragging me to the crappiest movie ever.
Then my wife (girlfriend at the time), took me to see what I now consider to be the worst movie ever.
Hanging Up
a few points:
Ego Stroking = Directed by Diane Keaton... who cast herself as the eldest of three sisters, who in flashbacks are all within a year or two of each other in age. Diane Keaton's sisters? Meg Ryan and Lisa Kudrow. ... Oh, so that's what a mid-life crisis looks like in a female director. No red sports car, but trying to convince people you're three years older than Lisa Kudrow. Hmm. Kudrow born in '63, Ryan in '61... Keaton in '46!
Touch the Heartstrings = If you want us to feel for these women that their dad is dying, the dad has to be at least slightly likable. Even a tad. Just a little bit. Instead, there's this bizarre angle of where you aren't even sure he's actually dying, or just faking it so they'll pay attention to him after years of ignoring him because he's such a crappy father.
The Nixon Library = We spent way, way, way too much time touring the Nixon Library. Remember how segments of The Italian Job felt like an extended ad for Minis? It's like that, but for the Nixon Presidential Library. Oh, except that someday I might go inside a Mini. (though being 6' tall, my immediate reaction is to not get into anything referred to as mini)
Resolution = The supposed theme of the movie (and thus the title) is that two of the sisters are constantly calling the third and dumping all their crap on her while she is the sole person caring for their dad as he dies. The title refrences one scene where she gets sick of them calling her all the time and unplugs all her phones. Of course, within a scene or two, she's back on the phone again. (and who thinks a movie about people talking on the phone is a good idea - I'm conditioned that when I see people talking on the phone in a movie theatre, it annoys me)
Anyway. Worst movie ever.
Though yeah, D&D was pretty bad, mostly because of A) their CGI budget: you either got long shots of CGI effects or close-ups of the actors in them talking. Actually mixing the live action and CGI was beyond them. B) the waste of actors - You've got Jeremy Irons and Thora Birch in a movie and you're focusing on a Wayans?
C) the plot. I played D&D in Jr. High with people who could (and did) come up with better stories.
