Great Big Sea is a band from Newfoundland. Those with Kazaa or WinMX or some music program ought to download a few songs (The management highly recomends these six.: Lukey, MAri Mac, Or dinary Day, When I Am King, Beat The Drum and Fortune). After giving a listen, answer the poll.

Sounds like something of a cynical marketing ploy. I'm not downloading six songs just to answer a poll on some band that no-one outwith a fifty metre radius of your PC has heard of

Uh....no. Not last time I checked. It can be offensive if you want to take it that way, but I wouldn't consider it derogatory.

I like GBS. I've seen them a couple times in concert. They've done quite a few shows at café campus in Montreal.

I did it one time and I liked it
So I did it two times, got addicted
Had to do it three times, couldn't help it
And the number four time was the best

YAY! Newfoundland! Everyone needs Newfoundland music, they just might not be aware of it. :)

I really liked their older stuff, before they got kinda poppy. They put on really awesome, high-energy shows, so if you get the chance to see them, I'd definately recommend going.

Edit: I would also like to say that "Newfie" isn't really derogatory. "Stupid Newfie" is. :P
