I wrote that before you edited your post, then forgot to click submit until half an hour later. Sorry.
Anyway, I think you're definitely on to something. I'd post it to the UnFiction forums or IRC; they're working pretty hard on solving this thing. Or you could add it to the Wiki that grassmunk linked to earlier in this thread. Sorry; I can't really add any insight myself.

looking closely at the picture of the truck, i think all the text there was later edited into the image, along with the globe, it may be part of the clue

EDIT: Bah, ninja'd.
Hebban olla vogala nestas hagunnan, hinase hic anda thu.
That looks similar to them silly scadanavian languages, but isn't any of 'em.
http://www.thisisnotporn.com/audio/mysterycaller.swf plays after getting the pass correct on the truck page. Can anyone tell what it says? I'm having a hard time understanding it, but it sounds like they're calling off a sequence of letters.
http://www.thisisnotporn.com/audio/dialtone.swf sounds like numbers.
The Zuiderzee was a inlet in the North Sea. The Zuiderzee Works (Zuiderzeewerken) was a hydraulics works system designed to help reclaim land in Holland. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuiderzee_Works. The result of the Zuiderzeewerken was IJsselmeer, a lake.
So goto thisisnotporn.com/see/IJsselmeer.htm (which once again has an odd audio track to it).
Decimal in the source converts to "The old name of the site of the boy's disappearance is the name of the place you must go." I think this would be Zuiderzee.
Also, the plaintext "the cat died", which may or may not matter. Poor cat.
Also, decimal which converts to "what comes after we tire of chasing wild sheep?"
Clicking the sign brings up a pass prompt for "WhatALovelyDrapeTheyMake".
Mouseover under the second "r" of "...orestery" for a blank pop up.
Any ideas for the user/pass?

The person speaking in the page with the truck is saying the Army Alphabet. It goes
Alpha, Hotel, Sierra, Papa, November, Whiskey, Romeo, Sierra, Foxtrot, Romeo. Use the first letter for each word to spell something.
Spoiler
Once you get to the page with the tree that hides a sign, the User name is: Edith password: Head.
After that you go to a picture of a hotel. Make sure to get the source for this page, it helps with the next. All you have to do here is click the picture.
After that is a room with lights. Depending on where you click you will get different pages. If you click the name of the person that took the photo you get a window saying "Ouch. Stop that." Click the bottom light and you go to a page which needs a user name. It has a clue "CuriosityKilledTheCat". Username: Kipper, Password: May.
In the souce code for /IJsselmeer.htm there is the cat died. Below is a ascii message saying "whatcomesafterwetireofchasingwildsheep?" Once you do a google for some of the word I can arcoss a book called Wild Speep Chase. It might sound liek I am out there, but on the page with the light the status bar has clues about sheepman.
The sequeal to the book is Dance, Dance, Dance. In that book is the clue of "CuriosityKilledTheCat" when you learn the Sheepmans name, Kipper May.
Click on the middle light and you get a page that needs a User name too. The clue there is "Master and Betrayer". Username: Xerxes, Password: Demaratus. The comes from the Greek history, look it up yourself. Why this is I do not know.
Or the third top light will give you another page with a new username needed. This clue is "Dorothy and Scarecrow". Username: , Password: .
As you can see I only know one of the three username needed. If you choose to use the middle you go to a new page with another tree. That is where I am now.
End Spoiler

It is a quote from the Wizard of Oz. It goes "How would you like it if someone came along and picked something off of you?"
Also, I found this on the hotel page after the tree sign. "A pristine white-suger candy of a resort on the Aegean Sea."
Spoiler
The Username for the "Dorothy and Scarecrow" is;
Username: Yuki
Password: Gotanda.
End Spoler

I do not know why the passwords are what they are. I got them from another webpage. Most likely, I think the pages go in order. First you are supposes to go to the tree one. From that page you learn the clue about the "Dorothy and Scarecrow". Then from there you learn the clue about the "Master and Betrayer" one.
And I am working on the HypericumPerforatum.htm page right now.

Okay, all I have is that Robert Silvers is a guy who makes Photo Mosaics...

I confirmed that the poem from "Philip K. Dick's Fortune Cookie" is from the Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. However trying to look into that poem is a real bitch since it's incredibly long...

Okay, the image of the truck travelling down the highway is titled "They can't escape the storm" in the poem, there is a stanza talking about a storm blowing a ship south...so I'm guessing that the truck is travelling south. Now when you mouse over the car coming in the opposite direction, you get a popup saying "a life half lived..." which is actually the second part of the famous saying "a life lived in fear is a life half lived" how these are connected I have yet to discover...

The ASCII art, at small enough font size, is a textual riddle about Alexander as described above.
Yuki and Gotanda, it seems, are parallel characters to Dorothy and the Scarecrow of Wizard of Oz fame in Haruki Murakami's books Wild Sheep Chase and it's sequel, Dance Dance Dance. At the end of Dance etc one learns that the Sheepman's name is Kipper May, which explains the other user/pass.
On page Robert Silvers, if you click the date you get a picture of what looks like bars. If you look at it sideways it looks like a pedestrial bridge. However, there's a soundtrack in the background, all squeeky-like. At someone else's suggestion, I ran the sound through a spectogram. Result. Odd, no? Look at this, too. Meep.
