The Adventures of Hamster Man

Post by TDINTBL » Mon Jul 26, 2004 5:51 pm

Hello all, I'd like to take the time to thank each and everyone one of you who actually bothered to click on this thread, and I would further appreciate if you'd click on the further links of course.

Me and a friend started a hand drawn comic many years ago, to generally make fun of everything school. I did the drawing and he wrote the stories. It quickly went from "hey let's pick on our teachers" to... something else of sheer lunacy, and a lot of times I'd think what we were doing was just... dumb. Apparently no one else thought so because very quickly we were celebrities and EVERYONE wanted to read the comics, I same everyone I mean all the people in our school, including the teachers that were being made fun of. Since then, I have redrawn these comics, so they look a whole lot better than crude drawings I once did. I now maintain a site at hman.sentiencecomics.com that is updated daily with the next comic in the series. I hope you all enjoy reading them, and would greatly appreciate some feedback here, what you like, don't like, if the latest comic made your brain hemmorage, etc. Come to think of it, any feedback at all would be nice, the only "outside of the school kids group" feedback I have gotten is "HOW OLD R U GUYS YOU SHOULD DRAW BETTER." Personally I think I draw quite well, as you can see in my sig. Anyways, ... er.... enjoy! And have a nice day, or night, depending on what time you're reading this.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I pre-cleared this with Martin Blank.. Just FYI
EDIT 12/22/04 Update link to new site

Well, it's been a while hasn't it?

Did some serious rework on the site, infact, I moved to my own domain, http://www.sentiencecomics.com , well, not entirely my own, also going to have other comics and a politics thing. Comic has been steadily improving as my comicing (sp?) skills have improved. I look back at my first strips now and go (abbbbsolute CRAP!) New site is spiffier than hell, worship the YoYoFreak his dreamweaver skills are mad. Also been looking for ways to expand my prescence, maybe all you could help </SHAMELESS PLUG>

So check out all what has transpired at our new superlocation http://hman.sentiencecomics.com

Try not to fall in any plot holes.

Your lines are jittery.
At most this is worthy of being called a doodle.

I suggest making more confident, solid lines. Use a ruler in some places, too (like the windows in the one comic I saw).

If you're really serious about your drawing, you should really work on drawing from life before you move into drawing dynamic scenes and comics like this.

Start with the basics.
