bump.. because.. well, this movie will be awesome!

There are only two names that i recognize on the cast though..
Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. And, it is too bad that Helena Bonham Carter has such a small role (Mrs. Bucket), she is very purdy.. But, unfortunately she will only be in the movie for maybe 5-10 minutes.

if they did that though, they would lose the story, in a fundamental way.

HBC is one of my favourite actresses, and the idea of her playing any Dahl character is a giddy one.

It's going to be flat out awesome, you wanna know why? I'll tell you why because Danny Elfman -a god amoung movie scores- is composing the movie. Oh I'm so excited I could wet myself!!!!!!!

But, BadMonkey.. is it possible to enjoy her as much in such a small role?

I think it could be more fun if she was playing one of the batshit parents of one of the other kids, but Mrs. Bucket is a good sympathetic character, and I'm actually really looking forward to seeing it.

Danny Elfman?! I missed that the first time I read the cast list!
Danny Elfman!!! Woohoo!!!

Burton can't get away from certain things. Elfman being on eof them. HBC apparently being the other.

Damn. Elfman is just so frickin' awesome.
Ahem:
The Pee-Wee movies!
BACK TO SCHOOL!!!
(Beetlejuice, edward scissorhands and batman, duh)
ARMY OF FRICKIN' DARKNESS!!!
And of course, Spiderman. Just to name a few!!!
And lets not forget Oingo Boingo.
My sig would have contained the secret of life, but I'd already clicked submit.

At least the proposed Marylin Manson remake of it did not get done. But, this one seems promising.

I fear this one. There's a magic about the original, about Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, that will be hard to compare in the new version. I realize that the attempt is to move as close to the book as possible, but I've seen Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka for so long that it's just so hard to let go.

I wish he would have done more musicals.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

I refuse to watch it! Gene Wilder forever! If it has Johnny Depp in it, it'll suck!

[/baseless accusations]

but still.

I like the way you think.
