Starlinemedia.net problems

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Yup, same problems here. I'll probably wait one more week, before I start composing ugly letters as to why my book isn't here. I know its been well over a month since my pre-order. I hope they fail their save vs. my wrath

not 100% sure if I remember this correctly, so don't take my word on it, but the person posting as Starline Media no longer has anything to do with the shipping of the book, it has been left entirely up to the distributor (mentioned earlier in this thread or in the sticky... I can't remember and don't have the time to look it up). Here's where my memory gets a bit shady: I think I was told that the distributor was moving to a new office or warehouse or something and this has cause yet another bit of delay. The folks over at Starline are trying to get it all worked out though.

This book has been cursed since the begining folks, at least now it exists

Well... it was supposed to be printed over a year ago by IC, then they crapped out. After that Greg had to do a bunch of work on the book anyway. Then there has been the shipping fun since the book finally printed.

It'd be nice to get SOME kind of ETA... they seem to just ship out the books by random. Writing letters gets me nowhere, they just stop responding which, beyond anything else - is really shady. I don't even the crappy 'copy and pasted' emails anymore, at least that was something.

I mean, is there anyway to get some information?

Well, if you go to the Starline website they link you to The Domination Distribution website, which is controlled by Dayfree Press of Southington, CT

A simple search of Yahoo's Yellow Page Directory comes up with the phone number (860) 666-2532

:shifty:

but you didn't get that info from me.

did anyone else get an email saying their order was in queue? I got two in the past week (both identical... I'm assuming this is because I ordered both a book and a poster)

I just called now (was busier than i thought before)

The guy said they were shipping out a batch of orders today in fact. But when he did an inquiry search for mine he didn't find one. :glare: so i had to give him that information again *sigh*

He said that the all of the orders are still backlogged and their working through it now. I told him that for a while someone was keeping us updated but, never really followed through with it. And now emails are being sent to starline with no responses which is really frustrating. He said they had been dealing with a lot of past miscommunication between a few people and what not. He didn't work with them but he knows of the mess and he's trying to help through it I guess.

He was more helpful than i expected but I'm still kinda shady to this stuff goin on.
