"How are you?" is an idiom peculiar to the English Language. If you ask a German how he is, he'll tell you. Asking someone how they are in other countries is a sign of concern, not a meaningless greeting.

Same thing for Canada (english and french) but that's just cause we're whores for anything American.

In a freak attack of something or other I'm forced to post. THIS exact thing is why people hang out in the IRC channel and not on the forums. Because there are a damn lot of people here that have somehow managed to convince themselves that they are more intelligent than the rest of the world, and that other people ahve no right to express themselves in any kind of happy-go-lucky manner becasue they feel it isn't in keeping with a being of higher intellect.

I followed a link to the forums, looked at this one post, and realised that absolutely nothing has changed in these forums. Go ahead, flame me and anyone else in the IRC chan. Where's it gonna get you?

Look, why don't we just all realize that we're losers who have nothing better to do but sit in front of our computer all day and create our happy little personal heirarchies of intelligence (whether it be Forum > IRC, IRC > Forum, You > God, whatever) and just get over it already? You can use all the long, flowering sentences you want, all the clever catch phrases and idioms in the world, but when it comes down to it, we all just sound like petulent children whining about how our side of the playground is somehow superior, and your only basis of comparison relies solely on your concept of what the net 'should be' and how you miss some Golden Age which I can assure you probably didn't actually happen.
