(8/9) Todays forecast calls for...
... Scattered sartruce, patches of taupe, and magenta gusts up to 20 mph.
People are like slinkies. Ultimately useless, but you just can't help but laugh when you see one tumble down the stairs.
i figured it was pretty self explanatory. I mentioned the color bar prediction thing of doom. The color on it is supposed to tell us what the next day is supposed to be like, but nobody really knows what the colors MEAN.
What is this device exactly and where did you get it? Is there a pic somewhere you could link us to? *curious*
Funny comic though. I personally prefer gray days. But then I like rain... so. Yeah.

I thought everyone knew what the colors stand for...
Red means heat with a chance of Fire Elementals, Orange is clear skies (no elementals), Yellow is sand storms with a chance of Earth Elementals, Green is high winds with a chance of Wind Elementals, Blue is rain with a chance of Water Elementals, Indigo is snow with a chance of Ice Elementals, and Purple is thunderstorms with a chance of Lightning Elementals. Rarer is black, which doesn't seem to do anything (overcast?), which brings out Dark Elementals, and white, which signals aurora borealis with a chance of Light Elementals.

i'd be screwed, then... that is, when it came to deciphering indigo from blue and purple

It's a Final Fantasy XI reference. Liz'll definitely get it since she's playing as a SMN (at least, I think she is - I haven't ever bothered to check, I just remember that detail from the discussion on S-E reducing the requirements for getting avatars). I'd assume that Greg would get it by proxy. You have to collect 7 lights related to weather, and the red light in that case is associated with "heat" and the element of fire.
So it would make a kind of sense for the weather predictor colors to match up with the Final Fantasy XI weather lights. Maybe.
