You missed the multiple times Kazaa was in there.

Plus, since Microshit was unable to "sort" the list, I have taken the liberty to do it.

Now you can actually use the list.

Want to know the reason they don't work? Teh Firew4ll in Windows is too 1337 for j00r progr4mz!

I feel sick now. Maybe I can redeem myself by saying that most of those will work if you kill Windoze's firewall. Just maybe. *dies*

Edit: Oh, and just to let you know Topcat, Microshit sorted the list by the vendor of the software.

No I didn't. Kazaa can suck it for the most part.

How many AOLers are going to know how to set their firewall to un-block their intarweb?

DScaler 4.1.9 / 4.1.10
Though anyone using this might want to check out this thread

Crapcakes. I use a lot of those programs, I'd be lost without Kazaa.
/me goes to remove the half-downloaded SP2.

Aza- DC++ > All

Aside from that, most of the incompatibilities are from the new firewall. I'll be sticking with Sygate thank you very much.

To clear up for anyone not reading the MSKB article, these are "Programs that may behave differently in Windows XP Service Pack 2"
Not "Programs that will die painfully and rape your entire collection of close female relatives"
Service pack 2 is still worth it for the potentially massive amount of security gained.

I am also sure windowblinds should be added to the list since when I had SP2, it would cause my screen to stretch 3x as long past my viewing area...yet button pressing would be in the same place as it would have been if the viewing area was normal... least to say it made it rather hard to click on stuff >.<

With such a huge list of incompatibilities...its gonna make it hard getting the new SP2 patch off the ground

Soth : Yeah, DC++ is an awesome program, I use that as well, but it's Kazaa's speed that makes it useful for dial-up users.
BtEO: define "Programs that may behave differently in Windows XP Service Pack 2"?

Well I mentioned DScaler myself, you have to unmute a little more often than should be necessary when changing channels. It still works, but not perfectly. Therefore it behave differently.
There are probably plenty of programs on that list that have worse behaviour, but the general rule is you won't know until you try, and with any luck patches/new versions for the programs will arrive soon.
