Umm actually it's more of the, actually drink, Tea.

I was born kind of early and they said I was no bigger than a tea leaf. So variations of Tea leaf was created from that.

Jonathan, from the Hebrew meaning "Gift of YHWH". It is NOT just a contraction of "John", which also is Hebrew derived, as the latter means "Grace of YHWH". I give at LEAST a dirty look to anyone who tries to call me "John".
Spencer--named after this man, who was the leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the time of my birth. While he looks frail to the worldly mind, he was inspired to say many wise things--my personal favorite being "The kiss, a symbol of affection, has been degenerated and prostituted into an expression of lust....what do kisses mean when handed out like pretzels and robbed of their sacredness?"

So, yeah...I'm happy with my name. :)
