Actually, I've yet to get any spam in my gmail box, so either gmail is crazy awesome at covering my ass, or I just haven't put the addy out enough, either way, it's definitely fast approaching Main E-mail status.
Also, I love calling it the E-MAIL OF THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111222223338

Did you imagine the final sound as a gun? Or the shattered windows of a car? Did you ever imagine the last thing you'd hear as you're fading out was a song?

Why would I want one? My Hotmail account works fine, and gets almost no spam. I COULD do with the extra space for E-mails while wandering, but my USB pen works fine for that.

What scares me? Mobile phones, bad driving, and brake lights.

I had been using a hotmail account for years, but IMO hotmail has deteriorated hugely, I get vast amounts of spam and virus emails, the 2 meg limit is sweet fa for me and and their website is sluggish, bloated and isn't entirely non IE friendly.
Gmail is slick, compact, fast, and I have 1 gig of space.
Teh Win, essentially.

As far as spam goes, I set my old e-mail to automatically forward to my gmail account and I've yet to see any spam in my inbox (yes, I WAS getting spam before). It has a really good spam filter, and I periodiaclly check the spam section to see if theres anything that shouldn't be there. Overall, it's better thant he Outlook Web Access I was forced to use before.
