Censorship and Republicans
Top 25 Censored Stories
These are the top 25 news stories that got censored in the past year. I found it impossible not to notice that over half of them are things that the Republican party doesn't want to be general knowledge. We all know the Fox is the Republican party's bitch, but I think this is making it pretty clear that the rabbit hole goes deeper than that. After all, these stories definitely weren't on any major news channels. Go Bush! Go censorship!

Right, and I like the fact that all of the stories that were "CENSORED" are available to read.
In the fall of 1972 President Nixon announced that the rate of increase of inflation was decreasing. This was the first time that a sitting president used the third derivative to advance his case for reelection. - Hugo Rossi, Mathmetician.
No shit, sherlock!
Available to read, yes. Actually on news media, no. Big fucking difference.
Have you read those stories? They read like college essay's more'n'news stories, they're partisan as well "President Bush's policies are destroying." etc. Of course they didn't make it to the news media, they're overblown, partisan, crap.
Just about as overblown as throwing around the word "Censorship."

OK. So they look like essays, which means... they aren't true? You've really lost me now. Or do you think news exists only in 6 word summaries that tick across the bottom of your screen? God forbid you actually see some information! Overblown, partisan, crap, blah, blah. Gee, some of them put the Republican Party in a negative light. This is kind of the heart of the matter, which you are determinedly ignoring.Have you read those stories? Speaking of overblown, partisan crap, how is Fox news doing? Do they still get little memos everyday telling them what stories to report, and which to skim over? Do they still get fired for reporting the wrong story?Just about as overblown as throwing around the word "Censorship."
Go back into your cocoon. After all, it's just a conspiracy theory, right?
Most ignorance is willful.

Why do I care how the hell Fox News is doing? I get most of my news from the New York Times, and CNN.com, assign whatever bullshit you want to me, ("OMG HE IS A CONSERVATIVE< HE MUST GET HIS NEWS FROM DA FOX!!"). I hardly think it makes me ignorant because I choose not to throw around the word censorship so much I sound like some goddamn college hippy.
My point about how they were written is valid, it has nothing to do with how much information is portrayed or isn't, They read like poorly written college essay's is a quality judgement on the writting, which merely illustrates best the fact that these stories are simply not of the quality which usually shows up in the media.

Fair points. And I don't imply that you watch Fox news- what self-respecting person does- but I am using that as the extreme example of the control that politics have over our news.
Undoubtedly the stories would be handled far better if a reporter could actually turn it into news.

Wait, I'm confused. Nowhere in that list does it say what they mean by "censored". They also seem to suggest that the Bush administration is "censoring" articles in periodicals all over the world. Are they just pointing out articles that were written but never published? Because there are about 3.5 metric FUCKTONS of those every damn day....
And NC, seriously, your repetitive batshit vitriolic attacks against Fox News are well known, but why continue them, especially when you give no reasons as to why you actually hold those kinds of extremist views and when you specifically point out that you do not watch the channel? Are you suggesting that Fox News does not have a heavy leftist spin to it? And if so, is that a bad thing? Does every news outlet *have* to be a dancing puppet of the left?
