Stupid Commercial

I heard an "interesting" commercial today that really ticked me off. I only heard it once so I'm not entirly sure how the whole thing went, but it was somthing along the lines of.


Hey all you Gamers looking for an exciting time? Well the come on down to Jewels Casino! That's right, from slots, to blackjack, to poker, we have all your gaming desires. Let's take a look at an example shall we?

This is Mrs. Doe during the day.

Kindly Female voice: C'mon kids or you'll be late for school.

Now this is Mrs. Doe during the night at Jewels Casino.

Rough Female voice over rattiling dice: C'mon Baby don't fail me now.

Don't you wish you were Mrs. Doe? Well come on down to Jewels Casino and you too can be Gaming to your hearts desire. Right Mrs. Doe?

Rough Female voice: Mommas winnin' big! Uh-huh can ya' dig!

Now normaly somthing like this wouldn't bother me, at least while its about somthing else. But being a Gamer this just struck a nerve. I mean Gamin is already what everyone blames as being the cause for a load of violence, and now we have some idiots trying to pass off Gambling as Gaming? I dunno maybe I'm just being stupid, but I just hate somthing I love so much, that's already got a bad rap it doesn't deserve having yet another way for people who don't understand it to hate it.

I have never heard gambling refered to as Gaming before, and I've been a Gamer for as long as I can remember. If it is I do apologieze (even if I can't spell it, I'm terible at spelling). I know I personally see Gambling and Gaming as two different things and always will, and just didn't want anyone to have another reason hate it.

Aww isn't that special. He's trying to demean me by taking a stab at my employment position, cause as we all know living in BFE gives you such great emplyment opportunities. At least I have a job, I'll be the first to admit its far from the best job in the world, but it pays the rent. That's right sometimes life doesn't work out the way you want and you have to take what we can get.
