Mutant insect found living beneath my computer.

Post by Brim Mar » Mon Sep 13, 2004 4:16 am

These pictures are kind of huge, so beware. Uhh, I kind of destroyed the damn thing when I saw it, sorry.

I just want to know what it is, if any of you have any clue, have seen it before, or know where I can find out more about it.

Before killing it, I could estimate its size with leg length and all would be about 2-3 inches in diameter.

It has around fourteen some legs on one side (twentyeight in all), all of varying length. It had two arm like things coming out infront of its mouth, along with a huge set of cricket-like antaenas (sp*).

Help me please, I think these are going to eat me :[
It looks like a cross between a cricket and some sort of centipede.

Looks like a larval brain grub to me. Watch Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan for more on those little suckers.

Apparently it actually is a centipede. With very very very long legs.

They're house centipedes.

Don't kill them, they're beneficial - they eat spiders and insects.

Oh my god, I feel like I have a bunch of them crawling up my skin.

The worse thing I get around here are these tiny little black bugs and the occational giant, hairy spider.

I had one of those crawling around in my dorm room the first night here. Or something that looked a lot like it at least.

I'd rather see a scorpion than that. At least you know what the hell it is. That...thing...looks fucking freaky.

No, you'd rather not have scorpions in your house. Trust me.
