OH SNAP!

Now, come on. I know some of you people who bothered to read this are PISSED LIKE A VULCAN ON PON'FAR or are LAUGHING WHILE SPITTING UP MILK OVER YOUR X-WING'S CONSOLE. The gauntlet has been thrown, geeklings. Are you gonna take it laying down? I don't think so!

...Fight, goddamnit.

Eh. Star Wars is more visceral. Star Trek is more tactical and full of intrigue and stuff.

I guess.

Yes, the ultimate geek debate...

I really don't care which ships would win... Star Trek is boring to watch most of the time, while Star Wars is extremely fun... most of the time =p

Exceptions in both cases of course.

I dislike the whole Jedi thing. Action heroes don't win wars.

You know, with such insane numbers, it makes me wonder how things like The Battle of Hoth happened because Star Trek can defeat planets with bombardments, so the only thing protecting them must be the shields.. Those shields that those ships have must be ungodly strong, but then how is it possible that a pair of really big tree trunks smashed apart an AT-ST considering similiar technolodgy. I mean, in comparison, I would assume they would have a similiar types of shields as a ship, and it actually takes a few shots to completely annihilate a vessels with weapon levels at least 10 times that of Star Trek, so if the shields scaled similiarly, then I would think the tree trunks would splinter apart and collapse against the amazing shields. I can thus assume that their shields do not block physical projectiles, while Star Trek's shields can, because if they didn't, people wouldn't bother with phasers because they'd just be absorbed and instead toss gobs of quantum torpedoes at each other. Therefore, I must assume that quantum torpedoes would do significant damage to Imperial ships, and that one could easily win with those... except apparently the range of Imperial ships is also at least twice as much as the Federation's ships. However, they do not have cloaking technoledgy in Star Wars as far as I know, so one could in theory sneak up in a cloaking vessel and let loose on the Imperials vessels, thus making the Federation win.

My point?

Contrary to popular belief, it requires far less time to make one of these then you think, and I could actually have a life despite making such idiotic comparisons.

And I like pie.

Actually, in a full scale war, Star Wars would win for a very simple reason: speed. The only race in Star Trek that could even come close would be the Borg, and even then they have to have special gates at both ends. Because of the large difference in speed, the Empire would be able to completely destroy supply lines and escape from any battle that managed to somehow turn against them. The Federation and anyone aiding them would not be able to escape an Imperial Fleet. Ever.

And, if I'm not mistaken, Star Trek is set in a time of space exploration while Star Wars takes place in a galaxy which has been settled, charted and is under the iron fist of an empire. It's like putting Cpt. James Cook and The Endeavour up against General MacArthur in the Pacific.

Come on, the distance between that galaxies is to great for the empire to even try.

Lets say they are from the closes Galaxy, Virgo(which happens to be 50 million light years), they would need to refuel 200 times. Not going to happen when traveling between galaxies.

We're just saying, if the empire just so happened to pop into exsistence above Vulcan, then it's all over for the Feds :P
