Seriously... this was one of the best films I've seen in YEARS. No, scratch that. This isn't a film. This is a god damned MOVIE. This is what movies used to be, and what they should be. Honest-to-god ass-kicking, with no regard for keeping reality in check. It's the purest escape from reality one could possibly ask for, and it's beautful, to boot.

Which is why I'm dedicating some comics to emulating it.

Do so. PLEASE. If this movie does well enough, they're talking about making more. WE NEED MORE SKY CAPTAIN.

Also, when seeing this movie, keep something fundamental in mind. This is the Writer/Director's FIRST FILM. I say this not so that you give him more leeway, thinking "oh, well it's not bad for a first film", I say this so that when it's over, you can say "Holy Shit, that's his FIRST FILM?!?! Where has this guy BEEN?!"

Now, let's hope it gets released in Europe. Or a bit more precise, in Holland. >.<

Seeing as this WHOLE movie was shot behind a green screen, I have to give the crew credit... the actors and actresses, for their ability to play the scenes and make it believable, and to the editing crew for blending in the backgrounds to the green screen. Very nice...

And Greg's James Brown theorem makes me think.

I actually decided not to go to it because the previews sucked so bad, but through various incentives I am going tonight.
