My DOS box (I still call it that despite that it has received win3.1, win95, and recently 98 ) is refered to as 'Deem' - short for demon machine.

My four computers are named Voltaire, Zeno, Cantor, and Gauss. Voltaire is the one I actually sit at.

Bruce:

Best. Naming. Scheme. Ever.

My primary win2k box (gaming, etc.) is Lithium. The VMWare 98VM hosted on Lith is Lithium-ion. The computer I used to run that got left when I moved out (it's actually my sister's, I just built it and kept it working) was Zinc. My linux box is Argon. Next machine will be named Iridium if it's Win*, or Xenon if it's *nix (note: all the *nix boxen are noble gases, the most stable elements ;))
If all else fails, use fire.
