Itunes
Hi, I have Itunes with two computers on a local network, is there a way to copy the music from each hard drive? I can listen to the songs, but not burn them from one computer. Thanks!
meh
are you on a router? or hub? If so, if both computers are in the same workgroup (sometimes needed, sometimes not.. best to just be in the same workgroup.) Go to Local Area Network (My network places blah blah) And see if you see the other computer. The music folder must be shared (right click the folder, prop, and look for the sharing tab).
Another way is to FTP it, but i'm not very good that that.

iTunes is specifically designed to not allow you to download shared music. The same way the iPod is designed to only be able to upload songs. If they're on a netwrok, just copy the actual song files.

Kurosen cut out the obvious attempts on spamming yourself into getting this free iPod thing. Scam or not, its against the rules and im very close on giving you a temp ban on spamming.
As for the iTunes thing, the DRM allows you to have the file on up to two other authorized pcs under the same account. iTunes only lets you listen to other playlists, so yeah...you will have to move them via FTP or LAN sharing. For mac, just go hit command+h and then choose the appropiate workgroup where the other pc is in. Personally, I've had problems getting winXP -> mac. I dont know why, never could get it to work. However, mac -> winXP works just fine. Just make sure you temp allow things go through your firewall. I have a lot of problems getting them to connect with the firewall up, even with the appropiate conditions.

*Insert statement about hatred of iTunes here*
Anyway, just find the files for the music, and FTP 'em over to your other PC. That's the only way you're gonna get them across.

I had that dream again. My world was black as night. Plagued by visions of a future world, I sang about these dreams, warning man of his demise. Wasted words that no one heard...
