'Inalienable' is a rather strong word, isn't it?

And what's wrong with arguments over semantics? Semantics is an important thing ... that also happens to be linked here to a stupid forum... trend, or whatever you call it.
However, the proper definition of words (or semantics) are important to arguments - and I for one firmly believe that we don't split enough hairs in this modern world.

Actually, in a true arguement, you would define your words before you began your arguement. This arguement, however, was really a matter of semantics to begin with as it focused on a single word and whether certain actions defeated the purpose of that word or not.

Actually, the mods apparently do not like gimmick accounts unless they themselves are running them.

The Declaration of Independence wrote:life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness
The Declaration states that we have the right to liberty, which does not give us absolute freedom. Liberty and freedom are not equal in the face of the law. The difference between the two is that, while we can do anything we want, we have to accept the consequences from the actions we take.freedom
Just to point out Semantics:
Liberty (http://www.webster.com) - permission especially to go freely within specified limits.
With that said, when you mentioned people being jailed as a violation of freedom (or so, that was the impression I had), it was, but it was not in violation of the statement, since it mentioned liberty and not freedom exclusively.
I would have mentioned this earlier, but I did not catch this until now.
