Menu Problem

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Menu Problem

Post by Focus » Wed Oct 06, 2004 9:00 pm

Greg, just when you thought you had it working...

Image

I'm using a Mac IE 5.1 and that is how the menu loads up. The links still work fine, it just doesn't line up properly.

And for those of going to say "get a pc" or whatever, it's my computer at my graphic design job. And for the people now saying "Upgrade your browser", I can't do that either. We still are using OS9 and Safari doesn't support it.

On a completely unrelated topic, this is Post #42 for me.

This pertains to an issue with the actual website though.

I put it in here just because I know we talked about the new menu problems in here when the new layout first came online.

The problem is that MacIE (in all forms) is an abomination to rival NN4. And you wouldn't expect the menu to work in that either. Support for those two is usually restricted to sites actually selling things, and even then a glitch like this might be overlooked (you say it still works).
Is there any version of the Gecko family (Mozilla, Firefox etc...) that you can use?

Of course there is. There are plenty of alternative browsers for the Mac. Just avoid Internet Explorer under any circumstances...

Well one nice this about the crappy Mac IE is that if you can get your site to look good with that browser, you know it'll work with all the others just fine.
