U2 - How to Defuse an Atomic Bomb
Finally! A new U2 CD will be released November 23rd! The single, Vertigo, is already out on iTunes, and it's pretty awesome. Any other U2 fans around?

Try to catch the new iPod TV ads. They feature the band playing Vertigo. http://www.apple.com/itunes/u2/
Also, I heard that apple might be producing a limited edition U2 iPod...

Any official news on that special edition iPod? All I know so far is that they're making it, but nothing more...
Fixes the colour problem that I've always had with iPod's(Ooooooh I would LOVE one in black), plus it comes with a pantsload of U2... If they could fix the price problem I would so be sold on it.

It's confirmed.
Black, with red click wheel, and the band members' names etched into the back. Schweet.
They've also released 40GB/60GB iPods that can display pictures.

What? No it doesn't, not according to the site. It says, instead, that it "includes an iTunes Music Store coupon you can use to get $50 off your purchase of “The Complete U2.” As unique as the iPod itself, this digital boxed set brings together an amazing 400 U2 tracks. Songs span the band’s celebrated career. From “Boy” to “War” to “The Joshua Tree” to “Zooropa” to the soon-to-be-released “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb,” it includes every U2 album and brings us over 25 rare and unreleased tracks. Look for it on the iTunes Music Store at the end of November."

Hmmm... $50 off? That means the complete collection will probably be at least $100. Still, I'll probably end up buying it.
I'd definitely sell all my stuff and empty my savings to get the U2 iPod if it were 30 or 40 Gigs, but only 20GB... I just don't know. The whole point of an iPod (in my opinion) is to have room to hold ALL of your music. 20GB will just barely hold all of mine, and I'm getting more continuously. On the other hand, it is black and red. And awesome. And it has the band's autographs etched into it. Tough decision.

You know, you don't have to put ALL your music on an ipod .... unless it's encoded at something like 256-512 kbps variable bitrate or something, what are you going to DO with 20 gigs of music? When are you going to LISTEN to it all?

I bought an iPod mini solely based on the fact that I didn't want or need to store all of my music. What's wrong with updating your playlist every other week?
Yes, I paid $50 more for what... 16gb less storage. Call me trendy, but it's nice sliding the mini in the same pocket as my cell phone. 600 or so 192kbps quality songs is enough for walking around campus/studying for a week. Plus green rules.
I'm also coming from my middle school tradition of listening to cassette mix tapes on the school bus.
