The RL Books are Shipping. Do You Have Yours?

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Long story.

I ordered my copy way way back when it was being published through Ironcat. When I found out it jumped publishers, I reordered it AND emailed Starline about it.

Waited around for a very long time. Nothing happened. Got a couple emails at very long intervals from Starline, but they weren't much help. The book went to print in February 2004 and still nothing. I hoped that the comic shop I ordered through did order it, but nothing really came to fruition (but they did get me Mac Hall, which I haven't paid for yet :shifty: )

During the year, I started work for a online Linux distributor. Later on, they merged into a online bookstore which offered a Bookfind service. After their success with finding both of Wil Wheatons books, I asked them to find Real Life. Sure enough, they did and I ordered it. 2 weeks later (after nearly 2 years, maybe more) of waiting, I got the book in the mail. The only downside was a rip in the cover, but we were unable to determine the source of it. And since I was a affiliate, I got 10% commission on it.

Funny thing was, soonafter I got the book, Starline emailed me and asked for my address. I said I got the book via other methods and left it at that. And it still hasn't shown up at the comic shop.
