Need help picking my next Anime. Yes I know about the list.
I have narrowed it down to a few series, was just wondering what you guys think would be a better pick of these:
1. Vampire Princess Miyu
2. Hellsing
3. Trigun
I have seen 1 and 3 but hear nothing but good things on Hellsing. I'll be ready to buy a new series wednesday so don't bother posting after that.

Hellsing has become a huge cult hit here in America, and a lot of it is absolutely wonderful. However, most of the end ... really isn't all that good. It's cool, and kicks the ass of a lot of stuff, but pales in comparison to the Origin episode or the earlier episodes of the series (man, I wish Master of Monster had been where it was in the manga, so I could make a clean line between "the first half" and the "second half" ... still, it's one you need to see.

Hellsing is your lord and master. It is filled to the brim with awesomeness. Trigun was craptacular anime, it was formulaic and the hero was a sissy bitch who I couldn't emphasize with at all.
SIG TREND OF THE MONTH IS BLANK SIGS BECAUSE I GOT LAZY AND DIDN'T MAKE THE THING AND STUFF.

Yeah, I liked Hellsing far more than Trigun, but I can't say anything about #1 as I haven't seen it as of yet. However, I think it would be best to see all of Hellsing's episodes, especially the last, as it sheds a lot more insight about the main character than any of the other episodes... Plus the last battle is pretty damn awesome.
However my favorite episode is the 6th, as it introduces Walter's badass-ness.

Hey, I LIKED Vash.
Also check out the Hellsing manga. Imagine all the badassness of Hellsing's good episodes condensed into manga form and used consistantly throughout the comics. That, plus a chick dressed as a priest with a pair of .45s and a katana-wielding berserker nun working for the Iscariot division in its early stages kicks so much ass.
Also, Alucard is a badass mong badasses. You could play a drinking game based on how many times he's blown to shreds, comes back, and rocks their socks off. Violently.

Hellsing is morbid and disturbing.
I can't help you with the others. I've only seen the first ep of Trigun{didn't like it much Vash seemd to be too much of a doofus but others say I should watch more} and have never seen Vampire Princess Miyu, at least not that I can remember.

Practice common courtesy.
Sympathy and tactfulness are virtues.

There are some good Trigun episodes, but most of his potentially good gunfights are ruined by his I don't wanna kill aditude, which gets annoying sometimes. There are also quite a few filler episodes, which annoy you just a bit when you had spent 4 hours downloading the one episode...
