witht he egg thing, i would think it has very much to do with climate of where it's being sold and the time of year. I cant buy non-pasturized eggs unless i go to the farmers market which is all the way downtown. However, it is very humid here pretty much all year round which is perfect for disease to fester, thus why they are all pasturized.
up north, such measures would not be as neccessary depending on the time of year and climate.

An easy recipe I used to make in my later college years that cost little was homemade tacos/burritos/quesedillas. All you need is about a pound of ground beef or ground chuck, some hard or soft shells, and some seasoning and whatever other vegetables you would like. All you do is brown the ground beef (which is really easy), drain the grease, mix in the seasoning, some veggies (i liked onions, green peppers and tomatoes), maybe a little salsa, and simmer for another 5-10 mins. Heat up your shells, grab some cheese, and you have a sweet dinner, and plenty for another lunch or dinner. Throw in a can of refried beans for a dollar if you like. But total, that dinner should cost you about $5. I used to cook it while smokin a bowl
If life hands you lemons, break out the tequila and salt!

As far as work goes, I actually worked for the school that I attended for the majority of my time there (the cap'n crunch and ramen eras occured during my first six months there while i was unemployed). It was a great job, and I even got to work there for a while after completion of classes. I worked in the admissions department as well as the IT department. Even got to do a little teaching as well.
Wait... you worked at school and earned enough for it to feed you? Man, I was an undergrad teaching assistant for 3 years and it didn't pay squat... Well, I guess it did let me have a BIT more disposable income, and it's sure nice getting a paycheck, all while being able to taunt and torment the freshman...
"Man you suck at this, you're SO going to fail". Hahahaha.. ha.
I don't know how some people hold down 20+ hour "real" jobs (I don't consider my babysitting of freshman much of a job, all I had to do was teach them CAD and grade their crappy work) and still go to school full time, especially not with all the project courses my degree had. Crazy people.

Anyways, just coz you're a spammer doesn't mean you know the comic better than a newly-joined;)

Don't say I didn't warn you about my bad sense of humour
You're the second person in the last week I've incorrectly assumed was male... or else this is the second time I've assumed you're male, I'm not sure which... My memory for insignificant individuals is terrible...

It brought in enough to feed me, but barely at times. When I first started, it was part time, but every day work. At that time I only worked in the Admissions department. Then I got the job in IT and I was working more than full time hours. My day usually started around 8AM there, and between work and classes I didnt get home untill 10pm to 11pm depending.

I work(ed) as a caregiver. Yet another job where you get paid to sit around and do homework.

That's pretty generic. Giver of care to whom?
