The Chronicles of Riddick: Unrated

Post by WickedGT » Sun Nov 21, 2004 3:09 am

Did you think it was better? I watched it myself and I feel somewhat redeemed. My largest complaint with the theatre PG-13 version was that you didn't get to see enough of Riddick's badassedness. I think it was shown a lot better in this version around. I can hardly wait for the next two movies. Vin Diesel is the man, now.

The movie wasn't very good. I would give it two and a half stars out of four.

I never saw it, though iw anted to. No plot, Hollywood style, pretty-looking CG and much ass kicking by a fellow gamer turned action star. Sounds good to me.

The plot is just an excuse for major ass kicking.

....am I the only one that sees the plot as something more than an excuse for Riddick to kick everyone's ass? Sure, a bulk of it was your stereotypical "only he can save us" crap but really when you think about it, did you really think about the end of the movie until it came? What the outcome of it all would be and what could happen after? It surprised me, to be honest, and it left me wanting more. A lot more.

No, you are not the only one who didn't see the plot as something more than an excuse for Riddick to kick everyone's ass. I just thought the plot was a bad, and you are the only one who got surprised by the ending.

I would only see this movie for the wonderful Judi Dench....what an actress

Why on earth did she play in that movie? :?

There are only a hand full of movies that get into the five star range.

No, out of 4 stars are the normal review. Out of 5 is the great movies. But I'll just use a 10 point review.

3.9 out of 10

I saw the movie in theatures with my girlfriend and her other friend, and it kinda sucked. They could've done better. And the game wasn't any better, either. It was like Red Faction trying to be Doom. I just hope the prequel (if there's going to be one) will be a little more senseible. You know what...

No. No prequel. In fact, destroy the whole series. It was a mistake to begin with. I didn't really like the whole PitchBlack series, and neither did my friend. Just look at him for yourself.

The game rocked...it was awesome in so many ways. I think you're all just slightly insane. They've got pills for that now, you know.
