Kill them all!

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Kill them all!

Post by Blackjack » Thu Nov 25, 2004 10:12 am

I've not played San Andreas yet, but that sounds like a VERY annoying mission.

Funny as hell though.

God, that mission is ass. I'm just glad that it's not nessicary to advance the story. Stupid damn plane and its stupid controlls with the stupid running into things and the stupid delivery boys with their stupids guns stupidly shooting at me until my stupid fuel runs out with stupid David Cross and his stupid voice in stupid Halo where stupid Sarge gives us a stupid tank. That's what we need in that mission. Screw the RC plane, gimme a friggen tank.

Yes... GTA never really got the flying physics right, making anything even remotely related to slight air makes that mission a pain in the ass.

Are the flying physics in San Andreas the same as in Vice City?

I'm still stuck on the one with the minigun and shooting down the planes, damn stupid mission.
don't try it at night as small black planes + black sky + gun that jumps about all over the place = very annoyed me.
heat seeking rocket launcher and the jump jet are meaty though.

stupid mission

I just find RISC processors very dull (unless you made it yourself, then that's impressive, it's like buying an expensive car, well done you can spend money.

I still have bigger penis than you.

You do NOT want to give up on that mission. When you pass the first two, you get to move onto what is quite possibly the coolest mission (concept-wise) in GTA history. At least, I think it's the third one. Zero's missions took me a half an hour to an hour apiece to beat, which isn't all that annoying actually. What I consider annoying is going through a level without alerting someone, making a kill and then escaping, only to be spotted just as you were about to get the Silent Assassin ranking and having to do it ALL over again about ten times. I cry myself to sleep on nights that I play Hitman.

Yeah, the key to the minigun is to play that one during the day. You can see the planes really easily that way. Hell, I didn't have much trouble with that mission at all.

Hey Greg, you think the minigun is bad, just wait until you have to manage your fuel in the next one! Now THAT one drove me nuts. But I beat it eventually... but you haven't yet. So you still have to!

Sucker.

Erk. First post and I've already messed up. Ah well.. Anyways, I generally have a hard time shooting at moving targets. It doesn't help that the RC planes are so small, either. David Cross's annoying voice chirping in every so often doesn't help either.

After getting frustrated with that mission I went and I killed people in the back with energy swords from Halo 2 and everything was suddenly all better.

I think you're getting the missions confused. The one mentioned (I assume) is directly after the one you're taling about. The machine-gun mission is astoundingly easy in comparison to its successor.

Does Scorpian Tank count as a weapon?

Dual-Needlers is the best weapon in H2...the joy of poping out, filling your buddy with needles, then ducking around the corner while he explodes cannot be overcome (though the scorpian is a close second, but only if you blow them up while they jump :P)
