Someone posted the "further proof that nerds have in fact a language on their own" (#35) comic on a forum that no longer exists...

I think I found it linked somewhere on another comic site, but I really can't remember any more... it's been so long!

a friend sent me a link way back when the comic was just starting out...i actually didnt like it at first, but i was younger back then and didnt understand a few of the references. I obviously ended up liking it to still be here :p

Wow a lot more posts then I was expecting. But I can now see how Real life became so popular (Its just such a funny comic, which a lot of people can relate and see the funny side to it).

Thanks a lot to everyone who took the time to post and or recall how they came across this site.

I guess there is no sure fire way to get an audience for a comic/website. In the end it’s all down to how good the comic/website is and whether or not the people who come across it think it’s good enough to tell a friend.

Ah well I best get back to work, thanks again for all your input.
(much appreciated)

It was either a link on BBoCS or someone on the forum there.

The comcs I continue to read are the ones that are good quality and are consistently updated and funny.

Real-life used to be hosted on a similar site next to a few other webcomics, I floated over from there by happenstance. Same with PvP, actually.

Lordy, how long ago was that? It was before the forum move, and that was...awhile ago.

Curse my inability to grasp the progression of time.

Way back when, around the time the first Spiderman movie came out. Bill Amend who does "Foxtrot", of which I am a fan, referenced RL from his site. Some dispute over webslinging. :P

In fact... I have that very link to thank for most everything I enjoy today. I really do.

Don't listen to me. Greg gives you ALL the joy in your life.

...Um, I think your mother and father might actually have a bit more critical part in the enjoyment you get out of everything today as opposed to that link.

Just a smidge.

Myself and some friends were bored in class the one day, so jokinly we typed something like "real life cheat codes" into google, and shazaaaaaam! Real Life Comics came up :D I've been addicted to both the comic and community here ever since.

I was reading The Forge on swordsonline, back when Greg was sill making strips for them. I noticed the name of the author and did a Google search for Greg and found RL. This was many years ago. Love every moment of it.
