GI Joe.

NO ONE EVER DIED.

Well, there were some suggestions of death in the early five-ep story arc, where Duke got captured and one of the Cobra troops following him on a glider clips a mountain edge, tries to hold on, and falls into the valley below.

But these are supposed to be crack troops. Why do they shoot worse than Storm Troopers?
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

The movie was even more of a gyp, because Duke was SUPPOSED to die, and then they copped out, and he "pulled through". Gr.

Chipmunks

I used to watch the Chipmunk Adventure THOUSANDS of times.

Now I can't sit through the first 5 minutes.
Speaking of old shows ...

I remember this cartoons, where you had people on a space ship dressed up as birds. One was silver, the other was green, and there was this Big Red Evil Guy who they fought, in armor with a spiked helmet.

If anyone can tell me what show that was, I'll owe 'em big.
I believe the show you're looking for would be G-Force. They parodied it twice in Megas XLR.

I rember the old Megaman cartoon... The one where roll was a tomboy. After watching the episode that came with anniversary collection, I wonder why I ever liked it.

Anyone remember Centurions and Silverhawks?

I remember watching them a while back when CN was still new. They were horrible, except I loved these shows when I was younger.

This can be turned around too. I remember shows that my parent's would watch but I hated {like Magnum P.I.} but when I watch them now they don't seem to be all that bad.

No, no, not Battle of the Planets / Gatchaman ... it was another one, kind of like it ... actually! I think it was Silverhawks.

And after a googling - OMG, thank you, Tomoro.

Wasn't Roll always a tomboy? I know she was in the two Mega Man Legends games (roxxorz). Hm....oh well. Maybe my memory is failing me.

As far as the Ninja Turtles, while I've always loved them and still have a place in their heart for them, I still fucking lose it everytime I watch Raph or Leo fight and not stab or slice the fuck out of a lowly foot soldier with their respective SHARP WEAPONS. The only time Leo ever used his weapon correctly was when he sliced Shredder twice in about half a second in the first movie and that was it. Other than that, it's always Raph and Leo busting somebody in the face with the hilt. Give me a break.

While this doesn't actually count, my favorite show that I watched religiously that I can't bear to watch now is the Power Rangers. The ORIGINAL Power Rangers, not this shitty Ninja Thunder Hyper Poop. And when I say the original Power Rangers, I mean Jason, Trini, Billy, Kimberly, Zach and Tommy (Green). As soon as they switched out Jason, Trini and Zach, things started the downward slide in my book. Their popularity actually surged with two fucking movies but when Turbo hit, I think people realized where things were going. Only recently do they realize their mistake and they're trying to make up for it by brining Tommy back in this new series but even as badass as he is, he can't save them. They're done for. It's hard to watch even the original episodes without crying over how they ruined it.

Yes, I agree. Though I definately prefer to watch Amy Jo Johnson now ('Pursuit of Happiness, anyone?).

I hit another one last night. I have been ill and stuck in bed for the last couple of days, so my two little girls came in to keep me company (they should, they passed the flu to me  ). I couldn't find anything that I thought they'd like, so I switched to 'Boomerang' because I saw that 'Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch' was on and I remembered liking that show as a kid. We didn't make it 5 minutes before I had to turn it off. I mean, I literally felt my IQ dropping by the second. I knew it wouldn't be as good as I remembered and even figured I wouldn't like it but I didn't figure it would be as painful as it was. Even my girls seemed to be shell-shocked by it. Ugh. I haven't felt my IQ drop that badly since the last reality show I was subjected to.

Indeed.
