So, is there even a job waiting, or are ya'll two just moving to move and hope that somehow it's cheaper to live there?
More bathrooms then bedrooms? At least they know how to build stuff up there, finding a 2-3 bedroom house with at least 2 bathrooms can be quite the challenge, at least out here in west Texas.
Course, the rent sounds about twice as much as it should, but I've never rented a place anywhere where space was at such a premium.

Wait. $950 for 1200 square feet is expensive?
I thought that was pretty standard. Especially for 2 beds and at least 2 baths.
Then again, I live in Oakland County... Not as expensive as, say, some areas in California or New York. But still expensive. Hell, my mortgage is over $1500 a month, and the house is about 1200 with two bedrooms and one and a half baths... I know, I know. I'm refinancing in February. Damn escrow payments went up $300 this year. DAMN IT!!! I hate being a grown up!

Damn. Here I can rent a 990 sq foot apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths for 575 with all bills paid (which means electric, cable, and water). It ain't the newest building, but it's not bad either.
Remind me not to move any further west.

Hey stop picking on Deacon..he's human too.
Glad to hear that you could be living in a good place, But then again living in Wales has the benefits as well, my brother and his missus are livng in a flat downtown where I live and they get good rates.
But then again it's always good to live round Newport or Cardiff, now Greg might like the international airport there

I wonder how much Lower it would be on the cost of living to live out there. Im only paying 300 a month for a room in a shared house. DSL and Cable included

I know where Deacon lives. Not in a freaky stalker way, I just know he's rom Texas.
I was just talking about myself. Of course, I should have specified I live in Oakland County in Michigan. One of the (if not the) richest counties in the US...

It says where I live right there in my profile, though it's not in west Texas...
Well we checked out rates for the city and they were too high for us. We are living on one income while I attend school, and we just can't afford the places we saw downtown. I would love to live down there, we just can't afford it.
A bit late, I know. I have to say that the best place I've seen near downtown (International District, just blocks outside of downtown) is Uwajimaya Village. It's a newish apartment complex (with townhouses, too) above the Japanese/Asian supermarket. There's a Kinokuniya bookstore downstairs, too, and lots of good authentic food all around. The Starbucks is across the street, right next to the bus tunnel entrance. It's in the free ride zone for the buses. My friend lives there and has a nice place with a good view, washer/dryer in unit, great kitchen, etc. The place strikes me as being well-built with good materials. There's a definite Japanese influence, too. I just adore the place. I want to move into one of their townhouses.
Living there would be awesome.
(Yeah, it's me from the Japanese class. I moved to Seattle part way through the semester.)

Ive talked to my current roomates about those rooms for rent and we all agreed that if the rent itself didnt kill us... the amount we would spend on a weekly basis due to the fact that everything we love to buy was surrounding us... would.
But I work near there so its hum-bow, dim-sung, or Sushi/Sashimi whenever I want it

Re: Move to Seattle, yo!
Mill Creek is a fairly nice place to live - it's at the cusp of 405 and I-5, and it's not too terrible as far as traffic goes. I nearly bought a house out there about six months ago, but due to finances and the neglect of the current owner to do something about the nice big HOLE torn right through the roof of the house prior to the signing of the documents, it fell through. However, it's not really near any destination spots - you'll pretty much have to drive wherever you're going.
I'd note that a 1 bedroom in the Belltown area ran a friend of mine $1,200. It's just kinda silly. Though if you're going to the UW or to Seattle Central, it really makes a lot more sense to live closer and ride or walk in.

Most pictures are worth a thousand words. Sadly, most signature pictures say a lot about how much time people have on their hands.
