Move to Seattle, yo!

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

You do know the cops don't look like cops in Oregon right?

...Actually Ive seen a Cop car in Oregon with an Elk on it... (Ive lived in Oregon most of my life)

Small town cops get bored...

Oh and careful about eastern washington if you ever go driving out there. The cops opperate at about the same frequency as Oregon Cops. Got Pulled over for doing around 3 miles over the speed limit. (and for those of you that say you cant measure that acuratly. My odometer only goes to around 80. so its got pleanty of space to get a good estimation)

but yes... elk...

Here's my big question:
If Rossi won the first two elections and his lead slowly whittled down and then disappeared, wtf happened? Also, Rossi still wins. He's won two out of three. Well, that's how it works in my strange, little world.

About Eastern Washington cops, I've lived on the Dry Side for 21 out of 22 years of my life and I've driven all over Eastern Washington since I turned 16 all the way back in 1998. I've flown by cops doing at least 5-10 over and didn't even have them flinch. The only problem I've had is on SR18 and the officer actually said "Uncle Gary(the Governor) wants us to crack down on this stretch of highway (was, might still be, Washington's deadliest highway) and make some revenue."

The cops that annoy the hell out of me are the completely unmarked cars. I know the Washington State Patrol has Tahoes, Volvos and others that don't have exempt plates or light bars. The Kittitas County Sheriff Department has a Camaro...

Best radar detector in the world. Period. I have one. I will never, ever use another, and I do not regret having paid the $400 for it. It's awesome.

As a person born and raised in Oregon, and as a transplant to Washington, I do find the dichotomy in police presence interesting. On the other hand, I have just a wee thing to say about Oregon cops, as my father is of the Benton County Sheriff's Office... and that is that there aren't that many cops. At least in Corvallis. There's a shortage, really. :shifty:

Had a Teacher in Oregon that lived right over the boarder to do just that.

Liz, Greg,

I hate to tell you guys this, but the weather in the area you are moving to is just like what you would find in Everett. In fact we have NOT seen any MAJOR amounts of snow, certainly not enough to have to shovel your driveway since 97. It's been getting progressively milder since then. Yes snow has fallen, but it has never been more than a light dusting.
Were you in the area earlier this year? Al off Western Washington shut down for nearly an entire week because everything was covered in at least an inch of snow, if not more. The entire University District was closed, every COLLEGE was closed, schools were a joke, and then the temperature dropped and EVERYTHING froze over in half an inch of ice.
man, you were on the wrong side of the water. That did not happen on this side of the water. Sure at one point there was some "snow" in an area around here and the super indent got all freaked out and delayed school for 2 hours, but that is it for the kitsap county side of the water. Everthing could have remained open on that day. I went to school with out even thinking about checking the weather.
Think about Kitsap county. It is nice.

Not that much of a shortage. They never caught me going through a red light in the middle of townover the Thanksgiving holiday. :P

UofW was closed down. Bus service was stopped. It took me two hours to even FIND a bus that would get me back home, and another four hours for the ride.

Dude, most of Seattle was shut down. When Wendy's and REI closes, it's bad. Especially when the Ave closes. It's super bad then.

But then again, I odn't pay attention to Kitsap County, so you guys might have missed all the fun. I'm sorry, but it was really cool having four inches of snow... IN KENT!!! ^.^
