Before I stopped playing, I used two decks. The first was my favorite even though it was the worst deck ever. It was my black/green zombie deck. Why did I use it? Dude, they're fucking zombies. ZOMBIES. The reason I had green in there was to piss everyone off with my Strength of Night. It gave all my zombies +3/+3 until the end of the turn for a not bad/not great mana price. The other deck I used was red and white and largely centered around bringing out the Citadel of Pain. You do NOT want to fuck with the Citadel of Pain.
I hate direct damage decks. I had a friend who hated them, too. There was always this one guy that had a direct damage deck, so one day, my friend made an all blue deck and played him. He countered pretty much every spell that the guy used on him. Turns out he didn't put anything else in there. He just wanted to piss him off as much as he possibly could before he lost.

Pure, Mono-Red Burn.
People say that this deck is "too easy" or "not fun" these people don't know what they're talking about
The deck may seem easy to play, but it isn't as mindless as people seem to think, you have to know what to burn, what not to burn, when to burn the player, or when to burn the creature, and you have to know what to play to use as counter fodder.

My favorite one was a black and white deck. Consisted of hordes of kobolds and ornithopters that would get buffed with holy and unholy strength. These would harrass the opponent until the main course. Fallen angels would come forth along with enduring renewal. (This was when rules for enduring renewal allowed this stupid deck to work) Essentially I would sacrifice a kobold to the angel, return it to my hand from enduring renewal, play it again, and sacrifice it again. Toss in there a swords to plowshares and you can watch your opponent wince at your 3.97 million life point total. Was a bitch to set up and usually if I won it was by buffed weenies, but when I pulled the combo off the looks on opponents faces were priceless. Been some years now since I last played though
Crazy with a capital psycho.
