I'm quitting smoking this NY

For about the, ooh, let me see, twelvth year in a row perhaps?

*wheeze*
I'm going on year three. Last year I made it a whole three weeks! This year I'm hoping for at least a month.

Question though, does New Year's Day count? I'm going to this 2-3 day party that will spill over to New Years Day and possibly the second, and I don't plan on quitting smoking till after then.

1. Come home from Operation Iraqi Freedom with all body parts still firmly attached and functioning. (That will happen on Jan 8th, hopefully)

2. Resume med school, maintaining a 3.8 GPA.

3. Spend as much time with my son as humanly possible.

4. Maintain my current savings plan.

5. Get laid. Often. Maybe even find a non-psychotic girlfriend, or at least a girlfriend whose psychoses match mine.

I would say not Kits, I propose the 3rd instead

It's after party season and also it's a Monday, you should always try to quit/start things on a Monday

During a drunken New Year's party many years ago I resolved that I would never make another New Year's resolution again.

As far as I know, it's the only resolution I've ever managed to stick to.

I resolve to post less on Gaia.

Oh, good, now I can afford that jewel...

Personal: I don't really have any habits I need to kick. I don't smoke, my weight is back to what I wanted. I'm sure I have plenty of vices but nothing that I think needs major action right now.

Health: I WILL go to the dentist and get this hole fixed up. Soon.

Community: Starting this week, 5% of everything I earn will go to charity.

Business: By June, my income from Herbalife profits will be $2000 per month, and my goal will be $3000 per month by December. My goal is to match my part-time income of $1900 per month, and then quit, to work my business full time.

Financial: Starting this week, I will save 10% of everything I earn. Everything else will be poured into my debts - my Visa will be zero by the end of the year.

Sundry: I'd like to fix my car up - new muffler, regas the hatch struts, panel beating on the door, respray/detailing, service, aircon regas. It's such a good little car, I feel so bad that I have neglected it.

These will be fleshed out, the business ones broken down into milestones and then printed, laminated, and put inside my organiser so that I can keep track of how I'm going.

Yay me.

You're on Herbalife too? *blink*

My grandparents run one here in Brisbane, and I NEVER HEAR OF ANYTHING BUT HERBALIFE FROM THEM.

But as long as you're not obsessive about it, everything's cool ^^

EDIT: Competition is a very good thing, if I ever feel the need to get some products from Herbalife, I'll give you a call.

Do they go to the Gold Coast meeting? I might have met them and not known :P

I recognised a surname of one of the staff here at the power plant... turns out he is the brother of some people I met in Cairns.. it's a small world.
