I think that I'm going to try to be top of my class this semester.

I won't make it, obviously, but trying will hopefully bring me up above 26th(out of 130 or so) this time.

Also going to try ONLY dying my hair at the beginning of each semester this year... That'll bring my dying down to once every four months or so, and I'm less likely to cause any permanent damage that way. It's already coming back in a little grey...

Be more financially responsible? If I resolve to do that I'll just end up dissapointed and depressed... I suppose "attempt to hold a stable job" is more realistic, though that still begs the question of where all the money is going to go...

1. Be less of a bitch about music. (i am very 'floyd/tool/perfect circle/NIN/King Crimson'-centric)
2. Not fail at life (or college)
3. Make more dumb and pointless posts here
4. Be good at guitar, as I got one for Xmas and need to earn the right to play it.

I resolve to stop thinking completely in geek-culture quotes, such as "If there's any GIRLS there, I wanna DO them!" (cheerful apologies to XenoWolf)

Save up enough for a semi-decent car. That was supposed to happen earlier this month, but then I find a cute redhead online that shares a lot of my geeky interests. No one would've blamed me for trying to make room in my budget for plane tickets and other related expenses, but I'm still lacking in ground transportation. "Don't be jealous of me because I've been talking with hot babes online." D'oh! er... augh! Oh well, it's not 2005 YET.

Maintain a healthy relationship with my girlfriend so that if I propose to her later in the year, she won't dump me three months later like this one did.

You know what? scratch the first one, anyways. I only throw quotes around when I'm with other geeks anyways, so it has no effect on my job or anything else like that.

I shall have your hide as a rug on my floor for including NIN in that line-up. I don't know much about King Crimson, but I'm willing to wager it's still an insult to be mentioned in the same breath as NIN, though perhaps to a lesser extent than the nearly irreparable damage doing so has on "floyd/tool/apc".

1400x1050 (yeah, yeah, I feel it has to be said in every one).

Okay, so I'm 5'11 and 190lb. Weight is not a huge problem for me, but it's what it's comprised of. My resolution is to get down to a 32" waist by May. I will do this by:
Sit ups, press ups, crunches and DDR 3 times a week for an hour (as a combined thing, not an hour of DDR).

That and make my girlfriend the happiest person ever at all times.

February was some lyrics or quotes month or something. I don't even remember what year all this was.

I don't see the point of that whole "new years resolution" thing, as every day is the start of a new year and all that bullshit.

Anyway.

My constant goals, that fall within this year:

- Lose weight and get in shape, and related to this:
- Find a martial art I'd like to study and is taught around here and start.
- Write. Goddamnit, man, start writing instead of coming up with ideas. Movies, short stories, long stories, histories for RPGs to make ... there's a wide world in there, get it out.
- Get a job, and put most of the disposable income aside, first so I can roadtrip through the American North (East, West, and Center), with long roads through Canada, too - and then save for retirement. Yes, I'm starting now.
- Go back to reading everything. Voraciously. I've got so much text, I should start.
- Do well enough in my classes to maintain my academic scholarship.
- Continue to fight personal entropy and inertia to get things done.

Oh, and learn to play guitar in the pursuit of forming a band to play a style of music that's a blending of Nightwish and Bad Religion ...

5. Improve mental health, by any means possible.

6. Peace and goodwill.

O_o?! Why?!

Anyway:

1)Keep my god damn room cleaned

2) Lose 40 pounds (I lost 60 pounds last year, I'm at 240, I figure 200 pounds is my ideal weight)

You need to learn about King Crimson. It seemed unclear as to whether you loathed or loved the other bands, but Tool is more or less the 2nd incarnation of King Crimson.
