One PC mouse...

Post by E2 » Fri Dec 31, 2004 3:32 pm

Might be a foreign thing (or maybe it's just me even, though my brother agrees), but when I hear the word mice, I automatically think of white cute things with pink tails, ears, nose and fur running around in a laboratory cage, so when there's talk about PCs, it has to be mouses!

What do you think?

You could also use 'Peripheral analog or digital cursor control devices'.

But when you hear the word "mouse", what do you think of first... the PC mouse or a white cute thing with pink tail, ears, nose and fur running around in a laboratory cage? ;)

The word comes from the animal, so I'd say the plural is the same as the animal as well.

The English Gods declare it to be "Mice", by holy unanimous vote. And so, you lose.

I think it would only be mouses if 'mouse' (the computer form of it) was a trademark type thing. You don't say Xeroxen.

Leo LaPorte says "mouses." I, therefore, say "mouses" as well.
