Today's comic (1/21/2005)

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Definately. I have XM myself, and love the comedy channel. One of the big things of XM is that is has "no commercials", etc... On the comedy channel tho, for some stupid reason, theres a ton of commercials. Its like the same 4 too.. One is for tax stuff, another is for cialis i think, and some other BS. A whole bunch of wierd promos too.. It's really damn annoying. That's about as best as I can explain...

The worst is the bumpers they play... there's one that's supposed to be like a drill sergeant or something, only he's saying "LAUGH, LAUGH, LAUGH 2 3 4, LAUGH..." in a high-pitched voice. Or some asshole laughing maniacally. I mean... seriously. Show me a LITTLE bit of respect as a human being. Even the promos for upcoming shows are stupid - they're done by some guy who's ATTEMPTING to sound like it's no big deal, and like he's not really interested in what they're promoting. It just seems to me that while they pick fairly decent programming material, anything actually PRODUCED by them ends up being completely retarded.

Oh, and ANYTHING by Touchtone Terror needs to be destroyed and erased from their databases. I'm seriously thinking of staging a call-in campaign to remove it from the programming lists. *shudders at the sheer awfulness of it*

I about crapped myself when I read the comic today anyway, cuz I thought I was the only one who was really annoyed by this crap. Yeah, those bumpers are pretty crappy. I kinda stopped listening recently. Every time I hear a commercial or anything, I switch stations or over to a CD.

What also really makes me mad about this station, is when they start playing a certain comic, but then cut it off before it gets really good. Theyve done it several time with Jackie Martin, and sometimes only play like 30 seconds of some comics.

Which one is touchtone terror? Is that the crap with the customer service phone calls? With the one guy who sounds like a backwoods hick, and another thats really drunk? I hate that crap too.

I'll help in a call in campaign. Anything I can do to fix the terrible atrocities that are destroying XM's best channel.

My Favorite XM quote over Chrismacha, was an elf, after losing Santa's XM radio, saying "I lost it playing poker!!!" It was hilarious.

As an Xm n00b, is there any chance that there is a Japanese channel? I don't listen to the radio ordinarily but if that was available, I'd be all over it.

If this is the stupidist question ever, please feel free to stab me in the face.

On a slightly different note, was the last panel a reference to PvP or is the 'Glee!' thing originally from something else entirely?
