Student sues to end summer homework

Post by The Coyote Kid » Sat Jan 22, 2005 8:59 am

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) -- A student whose vacation plans were spoiled has sued to end summer homework in Wisconsin, claiming it creates an unfair workload and unnecessary stress.

Peer Larson, 17, had lined up a dream camp counselor job last June, but honors pre-calculus homework turned his summer into a headache.

What's the point of posting all these random news stories? You seem to have no comment or feelings on the matters, most are inconsequential or better left to other forums anyway.

We prefer if the person would post something about the story instead of doing the "LOOK WHAT I FOUND" thing.

I never had a problem not doing the work why should he? Give him more homework when his lawsuit fails.

Perhaps someone should sue the kid for the extra paperwork that has to be done because of this law suit.

wow you'd think a kid in honors pre-calc. wouldn't mind a little extra work. wait, i have friends who took that course and every single one of them was a lazy bastard
i don't hate everyone equally, there are levels. but none of them are the traditionally thought of standards for predjudice. its not based on race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation its based on how much the person annoys me personally. i count you as a friend since you annoy me very little. brittney spears is an enemy because even though i don't know her/care about her at all she still finds a way to annoy me every time i turn on the tv

If only corporal punishment was allowed. Then people wouldnt be this stupid..
The kid should be shot for bitching about the homework for a pre-calc class. Better yet, a record of this should be kept and sent out to every college that he applies to, so that they can all see what a lazy SOB he is and deny him admission.

I think Deacon has a point though, you should at least try and make some point as to why you bring up this instead of saying "Daddy Look At Me, I can do a cannon ball."

What the heck kind of massive over-the-summer workload can precalculus produce?

I've never had to do summer work for a math class.
