You are Windows Milennium Edition, sometimes known as Miserable Edition. You’re a complete spaz, and you know it, but somehow your cuteness and good nature have made you the most popular OS tan.

The most popular...?

If there was ever anything to justify me using "B______!" it's be that. Miccrosoft likes to pretend ME doesn't even EXIST. This piece of junk crashes like ten times a day.

Which disturbing and semi-pedophiliatic geekspawned anime bimbo are you?
You are a blatant mockery of Bill "Money-Cash-Money" Gate's success, strung to a tune that not only amuses all 50 Linux users in the world, but provides much needed cheesecake material for lovers and haters of Windows alike. You’re popular with some, masterbated to furiously by all. All you haters know resistance is futile, word? Now get those hands above the keyboard. Pervert.

Having managed to reach the server in question now, what's the thinking behind placing Opera on the laptop I wonder?

See, for the uneducated, here is what actually happened.
The site in question (http://www.nijiura.com) as been configured to return forbidden when the referrer field is neither empty, nor referring to http://www.nijiura.com (and possibly certain approved third-parties). Passing the url to IE (via IEView) does not, and cannot transfer any referrer information. The net result is a blank (actually non-existant) referrer field, so the site returns the image.
Other IE-less methods you might consider using in future include:
  • Opening a new tab (window) and copy-pasting the link.
  • Selecting the address field and pressing enter.
  • Finding an extension that allows you to disable referrer sending (or, for those with Opera, using the inherent F12 functionality)
But dropping to IE is about the stupidest way to display the image.

Interesting . . . it says I'm a Catgirl . . . Apple OS X.

I don't know how many years it's been since I last even set eyes on a Mac . . .

It's not saying which OS would be best for you to use or guessing at what you DO use.

The decision logic is all done in JavaScript... you can look at how the various questions decide which OS you are. Basically, each question has an answer for a given OS, and whichever OS you give the most answers for is chosen. It's kind of a dumb method of picking, actually.

Its not a humor website, fyi.

And where in gods name did all of these OS girl concepts first spawn from? Beyond the general 'depraved japaense-addicted geekpits of Hades'. I want specifics. Someone needs to answer for this.

You are MS DOS. Often seen peeking out from around corners, you are shy but indispensable.

Actually, that kind of makes sense...

Wikipedia wrote:The concept is reported to have begun as a personification of the common perception of Windows Me as unstable and prone to frequent crashes. Discussions on Futaba Channel likened this to the stereotype of a fickle, troublesome girl. The personification became expanded, with the creation of Me-tan (dated to August 6, 2003) followed by the other characters.
