Man, I just saw Matchstick Men for the first time over the weekend. The ending kind of threw me for a curve, but once I figured out what was going on, I was almost dissapinted. That's not a very happy ending. Not at all :o

I'd have to ditto on Dr. O, and I don't think Luigi ever got the credit he deserves.

If you were a woman, I'd marry you.
Ugh. How come I can never find a girl who says stuff like that? -_-[/quote]

If you can find a girl that says that, you'll need a sex change. :P

If you found a woman who said stuff like that, it wouldn't matter anyway, because she'd be a lesbian. :P

Damn, I got beat to it.

going for movies I have to say JFK in Bubba Ho-Tep.

Ossie Davis was freakin' hilarious in that movie.

"I'm thinking with sand here!"

I disagree. It was the best thing that could have happened to him, really. It's actually one of the most genious endings that I've seen on screen because it's completely opposite of what the audience expected or wanted, but somehow it was even better. I would go into detail, but I don't want to spoil the whole thing.

I can't disagree with you that it was a good and well written ending. Over all it was a great movie. Fantastic story. I just can't help but feel bad for the guy. Then again, as you said, it probably was the best thing that could have happened to him.
