Man, I just saw Matchstick Men for the first time over the weekend. The ending kind of threw me for a curve, but once I figured out what was going on, I was almost dissapinted. That's not a very happy ending. Not at all
I'd have to ditto on Dr. O, and I don't think Luigi ever got the credit he deserves.

I disagree. It was the best thing that could have happened to him, really. It's actually one of the most genious endings that I've seen on screen because it's completely opposite of what the audience expected or wanted, but somehow it was even better. I would go into detail, but I don't want to spoil the whole thing.

I can't disagree with you that it was a good and well written ending. Over all it was a great movie. Fantastic story. I just can't help but feel bad for the guy. Then again, as you said, it probably was the best thing that could have happened to him.

I can't disagree with you that it was a good and well written ending. Over all it was a great movie. Fantastic story. I just can't help but feel bad for the guy. Then again, as you said, it probably was the best thing that could have happened to him.
