You should meet the gun guy from Nick's pawn shop. He scares me sometimes. When they go to unlock the store he walks everyone up with an AK. No lie.

Introduce me next time I'm in Atlanta. :)

I love shooting my Uncle's .357 Special revolver, myself. I understand you don't like it, but it's a shame. That's a beautiful gun. It'll take .357 or .38 special rounds. The .38's have a lot less kick, especially with the barrel ported at the end.

Guns don't kill people. Husbands who come home early kill people.

Jok. You read some of those stories. Would you rather I be raped, gang banged, or set on fire and be weaponless, or defend myself? Just a few weeks ago a girl in my area was kidnapped. They haven't found her yet.

That sort of thing makes me nervous around here too. When I worked at the school right down town (think city), I wouldn't hesitate to walk someone down to the wharf parking leaving evening/night. Even some of the people that I didn't really care for.

It's important to have some kind of protection.

Make a potato cannon. They are great fun, and if you run out of potatoes, you can impale them with the sharpened end of the pipe.
The main reason I want the gun is that I work Night Audit in Atlanta, GA. Just a few months ago at a hotel a few exits north [closer to Downtown]...
Whoooooo.... you work night audit at a hotel a few miles SOUTH of downtown? Like near the airport?!?! You do need a gun!

Why not outside the perimeter, or Buckhead, or somewhere slightly safer?
Anything but IE!

Just a note from someone who has really fired both pistols and is left-handed, I love the 92 series alot more. All the Glocks are great guns but they are more renound due to the fact the are about 90% composites and not 95% metal like the Beretta you want. Even when the Beretta is set for right-handed people its very easy for a lefty to use. When it's set for a lefty the gun operates smoothly and easily. The 92FS is reliable, they can put hundreds of rounds down before having to be rebuilt. Enough can't be said about this gun.

Not that I'm saying you should be, or that having a gun is necessarily a bad thing, but what if there's multiple people, and they all have guns, or at least more than one of them?

[Being too lazy to read the previous 5 pages]

Baretta M82A1 .50 Sniper Rifle.

Effective Range of 1.1 miles.

Forget everything you think you ever wanted, and get that gun.

Then shoot them all quickly. Multiple target practice can often be set up pretty easily. I promise you if ever girl behind the counter started shooting back, these kinds of things would die down quickly and drastically.
