I was thinking that we might want to rent a hotel suite at like a Residence Inn or a place like that. I was suggesting this for our house warming in Seattle too.

These places usually have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a tv area, a kitchen table, stove, full-size refridgerator, a counch, pots and pans..ect. All for about $200 per night. Plus they usually have an awesome breakfast in the mornings. Its cheaper with a AAA rate too. So maybe we can just all hang out there and have a party? Maybe see if we can get 2 connecting suites... I dunno.

Just a thought. That way people don't have to deal with getting hotels. We also don't have to put in money for an amusement park.
See, now if Fixer squeezes me into a suitcase I could get you guys half off of any Radisson/Carlson hotel room. Just cause I'm cool like that.

Just a bit more info though, most hotels frown upon having tons of people in the room and DO notice it if you try to sneak people in, so look at around 10$ per person over 2 adults. Unless you want to count them all as children

I was looking at the Residence Inn as my place to stay so I am liking your idea. I can probably swindle the State rate for my room (I did it for my stay in Canada) which should reduce the rate significantly for me. Now, what kind of duration are we talking about here? If you and Greg can give me a start and end date, I will begin making plans as I am pretty certain that 90%+ of the people who are going to this are going to be there during the time you are.

I might (I'd say probably 40% chance) already have a travel companion to go out there. If you can arrange travel, though, I'll foot you while you are out there. It will be like our previous roadtrip without all that seperation anxiety and the odd Hummer we kept passing. I will be flying out of Atlanta, though (as opposed to Tallahassee), so if I can leave my car with you guys I would appreciate it. No joyriding, though.

That's no problem. Not like we have to have permits to park here or anything. Just park near where I do and I'll look to make sure it's undamaged every time I go to work. *cough*and maybe joyride a time or two*cough*

Actually...as far back as your seat goes to fit your long leggedness I probably couldn't get it close enough to reach the pedals.

The Spruce Goose is no longer in California. It is now located south of Portland. I wouldn't mind going to the Queen Mary. Maybe I will be able to take more ghost pictures like I did last year.
Little known trivia fact: My dad used to own the tugboat company that towed it out of its dome when it was sent north.

Alright, after dome research, I found we can get into Six Flags with Burger King coupons for $25. Substantially better than the normal price. Also, I have a friend who works at Knott's Berry Farm that can get us in at 20% off. I don't know exactly how much that would be, but it's better than full price.

I'm pretty sure that those of us that live in SoCal don't care, as we'll be there anyways. :P

*ugh*

Well, I have been sick with this stomach thing long enough now that I'm starting to eat up my vacation time. I find it highly unlikely as a single parent that I'm not going to get sick at least one more day between now and May so I'm going to politely take my hat out of the 'going to California trip' pool.

Damned shame, I'd like to actually meet some of you West Coast people. I have met the Central US folks, Eastern Canada folks and the many of the East Coast US folks... that pretty much leaves West Coast US, Western Canada (from which which I have met Jamie), Australia (Met the Emma!), and Europe.

Oh well, maybe sometime later.

I wish I could go. But being on the east coast and lacking money causes a slight problem. I wish I could meet some of you forumers. Ah well, maybe when there's an east coast meet.
